This question is now near impossible to answer. The only way I think you could get close is to try and imagine who we’d struggle most with if they weren’t there. For me it’s either Fraser, Gilmour or Ngwenya. I genuinely can’t pick one. Andrew Tod’s first full season for us too. What a team we have now. Just imagine if we can keep them together.

Can`t argue with that threesome. Gilmour and Fraser must be our two best signings for many seasons, and Ngwenya has been a revelation since his `lazarus` return from the unwanted. Andrew Tod`s first season has been wonderful, and I have high hopes for Keith Bray. Think he might get a bit of a run in the team now.

Gilmour makes it look easy - so you miss what he does sometimes
Ngwenya hasn`t played enough games - but ***** on a bike - where was that player lurking before
Tod has peaked, dipped and coming onto form again and could be that 20 goals a season every club wants
Robbie Fraser- seamless - class in a glass - POTY

Gilmour reminds me of Gary Mason. Nothing remarkable or fancy but if he wasn’t in the team you would absolutely know about it. Gets in amongst it and has that football intelligence that doesn’t always come naturally to players. A great signing.

Gilmours pass out to Fraser for the 3rd was outstanding

Any one of Fraser, Gilmour, Ngwenya for me. Fraser is such a class player - pinpoint passes, takes the ball down straight away, I`m surprised The Rangers let him go, and surprised we got him .

Will probably be Tod, and I wouldn`t complain about that.

A few contenders, shows you the general improvement. Gilmour and Fraser shadr it for me for consistency but wouldn`t argue against the ither contenders, Ngwenya, what a turnaround!

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

I think Fraser just shades it for me. Gilmour a close 2nd.

Tod young player of the year.

I also think Todd and Ngewnya have earned new contracts. Both have become vital for this team.

Fraser is one of the most consistent players in that team. Pretty remarkable for a 22 year old. Baffling that he’s never played for Scotland at any youth levels. Further highlights what a complete dud Scott Gemmil is.

I`d give it to Ngwenya right now. He`s been a total revelation and seems to be getting better as the season goes on. He was a rock last night and the goals he`s scored have been really decisive.

BUT

JCM - He`s had blips, but he`s been so important all season. He`s able to adjust seamlessly from a back three to a back four and he`s now our most capped u21 player.

Abdulai - A couple of bad matches, but mostly majestic. What a find. Shame he was out for a while.

Fraser - I thought he dipped for a few games after the Hibs match (in which he was immense). He seems to be back on form. He`s good going forward, but I really like it when he digs in at the back and no one gets past him.

Gilmour - Class, but also happy to dig in when needed. He`s had such a consistent season.

Amade - Hasn`t played enough to be POTY this season, but what a player.

Andrew Tod - What a breakout season. He`s forced himself into the u21s. He`s forced NL to pick him almost every week. He`s been amazing and I think there`s more to come as he gets stronger and gains experience.

Matty Todd - He`s had almost as big a transformation as Ngwenya. There have been a few moments of total brilliance, but he`s probably too inconsistent to be a real contender this year.

So that`s more than half the team that are decent picks for POTY. That`s pretty remarkable in any season. NL and the coaches have to take a lot of credit, especially for the players that have turned things around.

I think thats a fair assessment. For me probably Robbie Fraser edges it given he has played most of the season.

Yeah I think there has been some great performers this season but I think for consistency I’d be looking at Gilmour or Frazer

POTY - Fraser
YPOTY - Abdulai
GOTS - Todd v Aberdeen

Could easily have given it to anyone in all three categories.

Gilmour, Fraser and Tod have probably contributed the most across the entire season.

Agree with other names mentioned but they didn`t feature so much in the early parts of the season.

You can end up with egg on your face making these nominations before the season end, especially with so much still to play for in the Cup and the League.

Maybe so but given it’s the club that put this out on Friday for our nominations it is worth discussing.
