Yeah I’m heading along tonight but I don’t mind at all if the full team is just kids wanting a run about

I am really looking forward to this and watching who comes in. The young lads getting a start will be excellent although, are we not maybe in line for criticism from Ross County if we overtly play a weakened team?

Edit: come to think of it that is maybe this is why we have to protect players who have injuries or knocks that they are not 100 percent. Nice!

Well if rovers draw tonight, and we win, playoffs are sorted

Why was this game re-scheduled for the midweek before the Cup semi-final? Could it not have been played later in the season? The reason the original game was postponed was that we had 3 players chosen to represent their countries at under 21 level. No Premiership games are scheduled during international breaks but it seems that, if you`re a successful Championship side producing potential full international players, you are penalised.

Essentially no, unless you scheduled it for the final midweek of the season(something the spfl rightly try to avoid in case of postponements in the final few weeks) there were no other midweek`s available.

I questioned why we asked for a postponement as this is just a distraction and we have gained nothing by the postponement.

I would start:

Terrell

Kearney
Davidson
Bene
J Tod
E. McLeod

Hammy
Boothe

Bray
Cooper
Fyfe

The flame still burns

I think Lennon might need to rest Cooper especially if Andrew Tod is going to miss the semi. Cooper will no doubt then start and will so important for Saturday

I’d rather we fielded a strong team, and put subs on when we’re 3 up!

Daft to postpone this in the first place. Postponing it because we had 4 or 5 players missing, only to rest what will probably be the first 11 makes no sense.

and if they had played it and lost with perhaps a knock on effect in to the following games, how many would be saying they shouldnt have played it with players away and others injured? damned if they do, damned if they dont.

Lennon hinted Turley will get more minutes after his performance at the weekend, maybe in for Davidson in dpard`s line up and go 4 at the back.

I kind of felt at the time we should have played it, but looking back I think it`s the right call!

We were a bit away from the playoffs, fielding a weaker team ( with our best players out) might have thrown up a loss.

Now we are pretty comfortable, we can rest guys, there`s the question of our `fringe` players not being familiar, but at the end of the day- if they can`t play well, what are they doing here?

I’m sure it’ll work out alright but I’m of the opinion to field a strong side and go for a goal or two and then take them off after 50-60minutes.

A win pretty much cements our playoff position

Just had a look at the stats for Airdrie`s game at Perth on Saturday. According to the Beeb they had 62% possession but didn`t manage a shot of any description! Hard to believe. Dom Thomas was on the bench but didn`t get on
