22. Author: doctordandruff Date: Fri 17th Apr 2026. 09:23 Ronaldo absolutely a god, as well as a mega douche bag. Watched a highlight reel with him and Benzema that was to highlight how bad Vini jnr actually is. Ronaldo was so much more than goals. Neymar shouldve been up there. He had the talent, but not the mentality. Will never blame a guy coming from poverty chasing every penny he can, but I do wish he wanted more success. I think he only really cared about Brazil. Watching the Champ League this year shows just how good Messi, Ronaldo (And Neymar at Barca) were when you see the level of those assumed to replace them. Reply

26. Author: kozmasrightfoot Date: Fri 17th Apr 2026. 15:56 Matt Le Tissier. Some of his goals are amongst the most imaginative I`ve ever seen. All the young ones can see what I`m on about via YouTube. He also passed on offers from the likes of AF`s peak Man Utd to stay at the club he loved. Didn`t play often for England which is a bit strange, but Glen Hoddle was the manager, Tizzy was often compared to Hoddle and I reckon this comparison irked Glen Hoddle so much that he didn`t pick him. That or small club mentality. Pars fan. Magpies fan. Mens tennis fan. Alternative rock fan. Not a fan of much else. Reply
27. Author: JohnnyLatics Date: Fri 17th Apr 2026. 16:30 As someone from England, I`m surprised nobody has mentioned Dennis Law yet??! My shout.. Hiristo Stoichkov. Saw him on my first ever visit to Barcelona on `95. Battering ram who would shoot from any angle or distance as soon as he got the ball. A loony too. Another one, Ronald Koeman. A brilliant defender with a free kick so hard and accurate, it would blow a mule away. I blame Andy Rhodes for this! Reply

29. Author: red-star-par Date: Fri 17th Apr 2026. 19:20 Interesting ideas on this thread. My point of view is that only Pele could be considered a God. Maradona could have been there too, but his human failings perhaps stopped him rising to that level. The rest mentioned are perhaps Legends in the game of football, nothing more Reply

( I could sneak Andy Ritchie in there too but.. he`s local!) I blame Andy Rhodes for this! Post Edited (Sat 18 Apr 16:39) Reply |
