Author: onandupthepars Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 21:52 I thought Amade got a hold of the game by the scruff when he came on, and Kano did well, battling and using his extra nouse and skills, even Kearney got a boost with them on, and a fightback looked possible. But we kept giving the ball away/ they were quicker than us to the ball/ it always seemed to break in their favour and they pressed like ferrets. we made two howlers that led within seconds to their goals. Nuru was giving me the fear. We missed Jeremiah, for sure. No lack of effort, just some bad decisions, lack of cohesion, and a better all-round display from the away team. Better games and better days to come for us. Post Edited (Tue 21 Apr 22:05) Reply |

43. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 21:54 Bear in mind the ridiculous game schedule we`ve had and the fact that just 4 days ago these guys were through extra time and penalties too. The SFA are absolute clowns. Reply
44. Author: BlackLight Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 21:57 St Johnstone looked the better team overall, but both goals came from mistakes we made. They were more streetwise (dirty/cynical) and that comes with experience. Hopefully one year from now we`ll be in the same position (if we don`t go up through the playoffs). Reply
45. Author: d3monstrate Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:07 Oh well... I thought we started well with the 442, but Kearney was clearly having a mare at right back so had to change it, and Matty on the left was a bit of a waste with no left foot. Then losing Tash just made it even more difficult... Ref again was frustrating, allowing them to manhandle us, but punishing us as soon as we tried anything back. I didnt see the incidents off the ball, so can`t comment on them, but felt the ref didn`t want to spoil Saints party... Reply
46. Author: king lad Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:16 McPake should`ve been sent off for poking Abdulai in the face. However, no complaints on the result St Johnstone were well rested and we were very sloppy which is to be expected. Hopefully they can do us a favour and pump raith on Friday to confirm the playoffs and allow us to get some much needed rest over the next couple of games. Reply
47. Author: Lucho_8 Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:17 A Few players had a nightmare tonight which obviously doesn’t help. A lot more mistakes tonight than usual and most of them lead to big chances for them. What is to be expected I suppose after our crazy schedule and more to come. Reply

51. Author: neils Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:31 I thought the first half was decent enough, but we were clearly knackered after Saturday, a few iffy performances, as expected. Tash was looking really good, so it`s a pity he was injured again - he`s just coming onto a game, and this for him is bad timing. Morrison huffed and puffed, felt Ngwenya was decent - he doesn`t hide. Kearney, doesn`t seem to have a lot of game awareness which is a worry, maybe it`s confidence, but he`s in space plenty of times but not looking for the ball, or he gets the ball and looks behind himself. Not horrible, to be expected I suppose, were running on fumes, and it`s St Johnstone`s party Reply
52. Author: Westies squint kicks Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:36 Plenty off it tonight, Kearney yet to convince defensively, Abuldai a rare bad game and Morrison who might have been forgiven on Saturday in the circumstances showed his usual energy with little end product. A bit concerned that Lennons preferred system with marauding fullbacks is going to be nullified by the pitch. The central areas look to have some growth but the flanks and particularly in front of the stand is playing like a beach. Come the playoffs I can see the better performances coming away from East End Park. Hopefully by Saturday we’ll have the starting XI wrapped up in cotton wool. Reply
53. Author: KirklistonPar Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:37 It was a hard night for our lads. No surprise we looked like a side that was physically and mentally drained. We’ve played so many games recently and to such a high standard. The SFA could have helped out with the game congestion but they decided not to. Reply
54. Author: PansPar Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:45 It has been a really tough schedule for the players, even just the last week with 3 games and the adrenaline of Saturday including extra time and pens. Overall we have been excellent for the last 10-11 games and have used the squad really well. Onward and upward from here - lets get things wrapped up on Saturday. Congrats to St Johnstone. Comfortably the best team in the league, so its well deserved. Reply
| 55. Author: Jeffery Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:58 I thought St Johnstone dominated physically tonight. We were jaded but they are also all built like brick shizzle houses and were fresher having not playing at the weekend. They played the best football (helped by our mistakes) they have in any of the games against us and are deserved champions over the piece. This will sound like sour grapes but unless they do some serious business this summer then they`ll be back down. Their physical dominance won`t count for as much in the premiership and VAR will work against them. They also aren`t a young group (who will continue to improve) and with McPake off to Hearts, Steward loan ending, Diabate you would imagine will attract interest, etc I think they might struggle. | 56. Author: AdamAntsParsStripe Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 22:59 Congratulations firstly to Saints. The best team we have faced footballing wise this season and they deserved to win the title. There wasn’t a lot in the match and we did look like a tired team lacking ideas and sharpness after Saturday so no real complaints losing that. | 57. Author: par_33 Date: Tue 21st Apr 2026. 23:03 Tired legs and few errors cost us tonight, didn’t think there was much in the game, goals completely preventable. Thought it was strange we switched to a 3 at the back as we started with a 4 and looked fine. John Tod being put to RCB when he is left footed done him no favours. Reply |
