One thing I would have expected to find on COWS is a summary showing players` appearances, goals, assists, yellow and red cards, etc for the season but all we seem to have is a list of results for the first team cross-referenced to match reports. Even that is unreliable though! It lists two postponed games on 3 January (home to Ross Co) and 10 January (away to Morton) but doesn`t include any information about the rescheduled fixtures. The Scottish Cup win over Aberdeen isn`t listed either.

When we had printed programmes the centre pages used to show a lot of this information but I haven`t been able to find an alternative although the information must be retained within the club as demonstrated by the recent recognition of Hammy`s 150th appearance. Alternatively, is there an independent source of this kind of information all in one place?

I was thinking the same the other week when looking for something.

Some of the apps appear to have api access.

What specific stats are you after? I`ll have a look at pulling something together for you if I can.

I know it’s not the best because it’s a different website and you have to search each player by name but on flashscore they have the stats your looking for

Thanks, guys. It wasn`t anything specific, just the sort of stuff fans tend to like to know for comparison purposes. You can get goalscorers, assists, etc from somewhere like the SPFL website but they only show the top 10.

Dunfermline Athletic Heritage Trust https://daht.org.uk/ has a huge amount of information about results, players, appearances, managers etc, with match reports back to 1997. click on the drop-down menu in the link for details.

The Trust would welcome help from anyone prepared to contribute a bit of time to add further information. Contact the Trust Secretary at https://e-contact.us/?u=daht&n=1019&subject=contact%20daht

Do you think there are opportunities to make things more efficient Stanza? I find it hard to tell if these roles are more admin based and data entry or have the opportunity for folk to build up some professional experience (the latter might help some of our younger fans).

Sorry, Ipswich - it`s not for me to say. I`m not directly connected with the Heritage Trust any longer (old age and other commitments!) but possibly one of the Trustees who is on this forum might be able to say. Alternatively you could put your question to the Trust using the contact form in the link I supplied, or else send an email to secretary@daht.org.uk
