I thought they were looking at the elbow to the Celtic guy`s pus then suddenly it`s a handball.

Knew what was coming as soon as it was "delayed".

Hearts wouldn`t have won the title yet with a Celtic draw, so they still have to go get at least a point at Parkhead & it`s still in their own hands.

The only thing it changes is that Celtic just need to win, rather than score x amount of goals.

Hearts are more than capable of an away draw this season & fully deserve the title if they can see it through.

No fan of either team but this challenge has been infinitely miles better than one cheek winning at a canter.

Hopefully we can get a more sustained challenge in the next few years and other teams can step up.

COME ON YE PARS!

It was a foul throw in anyway as the Celtic players foot was over the line with the linesman standing right there.

That rule died out a while back when nearly every throw was a foul throw. Think the rule these days id as long as one foot is on or behind the line its fine 🤔

In the Cup final and a Celtic player puts his hand above his head and touches the ball are we all saying it’s not a penalty? Now whether we get it is another matter but it’s still a penalty.
I hope that Hearts win the league and don’t doubt that the Old Firm benefit favourably from decisions but I don’t think this is one of them, the incident happened within the added on time, Motherwell looked just as likely to score which would have handed Hearts the league as well.

What does Motherwell looking likely to score have to do with it?

Re the assertion that 5 minutes added on was excessive and for Celtic`s benefit.

Simply a scandalous decision in that big a situation. You can watch 100 replays of it and there`s still no conclusive evidence to go against the on-field decision from the referee.

VAR needs to stop trying to re-referee games and only step in when there`s a glaringly obvious error that has been missed. Would they have stepped in for the foul on Matty Todd on Tuesday night? I have my doubts.

The conspiracy that the 5 minutes added on was so Celtic could score when anyone watching the game could see that it was just as likely Motherwell could find a goal.

-------------------------------------------

His hand wasn`t above his head though - a la Maradona - it was flat against his forehead and he didn`t attempt to divert the ball with his hand. I suppose you could call it an unnatural position but it`s where the law needs changing so that accidental handball, or when no advantage is gained, should be no penalty. Otherwise you could have a goalie taking a goal kick that accidentally strikes his team-mates hand in the box, given as a penalty when there`s no opponent within 50 yards. The rule is supposed to penalise unfair advantage, but like many rules it`s upheld for the sake of it.

Lenny: Chris, hold Tierneys hand and pull it to an unnatural position.
Matty, blast the ball at Tierny’s arm.

Penalty or not. Who is to say who is holding whose hand. I would be trying it on for sure now.

definite corruption !

additional time was far too excessive - looking for an excuse to give Celtic a goal

motherwell players hand was pushed up by the Celtic players shoulder, and definitely not intentional. no way a penalty.

now, when you see Bobo Balde`s hand, thats a different story and a penalty.

always things are enableb for Celtic and Rangers

Said the same to my son last night.

If we somehow took Celtic to penalties in the cup there`s only one winner.

If the ball hits a hand and can travel 20 yards back out for another throw ??
VAR has destroyed this game.

Think we need to hear from the Motherwell player,to clarify this.
