| 2. Author: veteraneastender Date: Thu 28th May 2026. 09:13 FIFA have concocted a recipe for a less than stellar WC - and the host nation are now becoming twitchy at the prospect. Their hospitality businesses are already suffering a downturn in tourism due to a general reluctance to travel to the USA which doesn`t appear to improve significantly thanks to high ticket costs and hotel prices etc. When/if the American team doesn`t progress the average Yank will soon lose interest in the tournament. | 3. Author: Playup_Pompey Date: Thu 28th May 2026. 09:17 resell prices are really starting to drop in last week or so and will only go lower the closer the tournament is. Early panic buyers fed the greedy resellers but now much more realistic and many face value plus booking fees.  Reply |

There was the heatwave, the water argument, Bulgaria getting as far as they did, Jack Charlton’s Ireland, Maradona coming back-banging it in the top bin then blowing hot on a drugs test, the Colombian defender being assassinated, OJ Simpson going on the run, that singer missing a penalty from 3 yards then Baggio blasting it over the bar.
