4. Author: Paralex Date: Wed 17th Jun 2026. 22:05 I think I need therapy. I break out in spontaneous laughter when England lose a goal. I`m sure that`s very bad form, a kind of sickness. Does anyone else suffer from this? Yes, they do look very shaky at the back but I reckon the best defenders in English football aren`t English and Pickford is far from the best goalkeeper in England. C`mon ye Croatia? Post Edited (Wed 17 Jun 22:08) Reply

8. Author: Paralex Date: Wed 17th Jun 2026. 23:22 Yes, Sako and Rashford looked more dangerous coming from wide, than the original two wingers. Gordon is less refined and doesn`t look like scoring. But you have to credit England with looking pretty good in the second half. Reply
9. Author: Jeffery Date: Wed 17th Jun 2026. 23:28 Gordon and Madueke were pretty poor. That`s why it`s good to have 4 decent wingers. If one or two aren`t playing well you can keep swapping them and also use their freshness to take advantage later in the game. Reply

The attack in second half was excellent, bloody good Croatian goalkeeping kept the score down. Like Scotland, start with a win and the ball starts rolling. I blame Andy Rhodes for this! Reply |

One guy fair play celebrating all England goals as he should. Good banter all round. Enjoyed my night as did my wifie Reply |
12. Author: thebear Date: Thu 18th Jun 2026. 00:38 Sorry when kane runs up and stutters his run, and because of that the Croatia keeper goes early it`s not a retake, did Croatia go over the line, very dubious. Let`s see how consistent refs are with that Reply
13. Author: JohnnyLatics Date: Thu 18th Jun 2026. 01:01 thebear, Thu 18 Jun 00:38 Goalie moves too soon and defender encroaches, that defender also clears the save for a corner. Learn I blame Andy Rhodes for this! Reply
14. Author: dd23 Date: Thu 18th Jun 2026. 08:46 It’s not about the goalie moving too soon, it’s that he must always have one foot on the line as the ball is kicked. It was so marginal that you couldn’t be certain, but the defender who headed it clear had encroached. Reply
15. Author: RhinoPars Date: Thu 18th Jun 2026. 08:49 One of the most entertaining games so far. I thought England were very good in the second half. They kept attacking and could have scored more than four. Previous managers like Gareth Southgate might have just tried to defend a one-goal lead. Reply
16. Author: Berry Date: Thu 18th Jun 2026. 09:14 Thought the penalty retake was harsh, keeper had one foot on the line and Gvardiol encroachment was only because Kane did that daft stutter, had he not done that would’ve been fine. Reply
17. Author: Bandy Date: Thu 18th Jun 2026. 09:39 I was very impressed by England. Kane`s ability to drop deep and influence play AND score goals is unmatched. If he stays fit and in form then England will be a match for anyone. Their set-pieces looked really dangerous too. With Rice and Saka both having unbelievable delivery the media have Arsenal to thank for this - despite hammering Arsenal for their negative style of play all season :) Reply
