Faddy stole the show tonight with his comments on Brazils 3rd being class - their first pass would have been easily dealt with by any competent defender.

I agree, I hate all these useless stats they stuff down our throats. Concentrate on the game

I just find McLeod`s voice incredibly grating. It sounds like he`s trying to create interest rather than reacting to what`s unfolding in front of him.

I like the `old skool` commentators who remain reasonably neutral throughout the game and are able to remain silent when the situations needs silence. Barry Davies was the master, Brian Moore on ITV, Motty was decent too (before he became a caricature of himself). I also liked Jock Brown and Archie McPherson.

This new generation of `fan` commentators isn`t for me. McLeod is one of those.

Much prefer Ian Crocker out of the current crop of Scottish commentators.

It`s like a competition to reveal the most trivial piece of trivia. Do they do their own research or are they handed a sheet of information?

They have researchers who hand them stats, it`s then up to the commentator what to reveal

Alistair Lamont and Pat Nevin were on the iPlayer. I switched over and they were better, although Faddy is good.

I don`t mind Liam MacLeod, he`s a good guy, took him on the p1ss in Seville just before the Celtic UEFA Cup Final, quite a night I can tell you. Decent commentator, but I do prefer Ian Crocker, he`s the best at the moment
