1-1 with 5 mins to go (plus another 5 mins probably because of the hydration break)....
But the big story is Ronaldododo being subbed off with 10 mins to go .
He wasn`t too happy about it.
Well he had scored from the spot after all.

Absolute peach of a header and it`s 2-1 to Portugal.
5 mins to go

And Croatia equalise with probably the last kick of the ball but it`s ruled out by VAR .
Harsh decision but it is what it is.
Portugal go through to meet Spain in the next round.
I`m looking forward to that one.

Looked nowt wrong with Croatia equaliser. Everyone onside when the initial cross came in, only doubt was whether the Croation player headed the ball on just before the goal. Didn`t look like he did to me 🤷‍♂️

They have a chip in the ball that lets them detect contact. It didn’t look like he did but I guess it is what it is. Fine margins. It was a cracking second half.

Im guessing the chip in the ball is the reason we never gave away a pen v Haiti for the Hanley handball incident. Will have shown on snicko there was no contact made. If thats the case its a factual decision so the right one.

Saying that I don’t agree with chips in balls as ruins a bit of the game now too much tech.
