I think they will beat Norway and then its all to play for in the semi`s. A rwally good team performance where Kane and Bellingham produced the goods when it mattered. Fair play to them. | 45. Author: kelty_par Date: Mon 6th Jul 2026. 11:32 Think it`s England`s to lose now. They`ll beat Norway easily (they will probably concede but Norway has an inferior defence and England have more firepower on the bench if they need to change it), Argentina are no great shakes if they even get past Columbia, and while France and probably Spain are better teams, those two playing in a semi final where it might go the distance and will be a physically and mentally gruelling game, tips it in England`s favour. What an awful World Cup all round. Reply |
| 46. Author: desparado Date: Mon 6th Jul 2026. 11:33 Mexico committed soccer suicide last night. First goal, midfielder stopped tracking Bellingham, he was berated by another Mexican player. It was just lazy. Second goal. Mexico were all over the place defensively, still reeling from the first goal. They switched off completely. Third goal, just a hopeful punt up field that Gordon reacted to brilliantly but the Mexican keeper was just a split second slower in doing so. Mexico just seemed to run out of ideas in the last twenty mins and could not break down the packed England defence. There was a couple of mins late on where Mexico put three crosses in succession right out of the park..pitiful.. What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply |

Norway I thought were deserved winners against Brazil and Haaland is a different beast to what they`ve come up against so far. Very intrigued to see how that one ends up. Reply |

Its something I dont believe you can aclimatise for quickly.. i spent a couple of years in Mexico city and used to run regularly in the evening. It doesnt get any easier so I can appreciate the achievement personally. G Wardrope Reply |
