I’ve just watched the highlights. They played some really good football. We got well beat.

Saw some highlights and it looked like a pub match. 2 long kicks by the EK goalie leading to 2 awful goals???

Watched the stream. They outplayed us. Wasn`t the best of starts to put it mildly. Weak all over the pitch, from front to back.

Just watched the goals back as had to go out at half time( lucky me) can`t believe the second and third were virtually identical with a complete absence of central defenders in the middle. A huge amount of work to do -a complete tactical mess from what I saw. Three goals flattered us.

Extremely well coached Raymie. Going through multiple phases constantly. Was like watching a premiership team minus the physicality. They`ll do well this year.

Just watched the highlights. Pars were good for a couple of goals, but you need to take your chances. Conceded goals 2 and 3 were ridiculous. Our attack not pressing their keeper and our defense not picking up their attacker. E-K looked a good outfit and I expect them to win League 1.

There is obviously a rebuild in progress for the Pars after losing three of our best players during the close season. Another 4 or 5 signings will likely get made in the coming weeks.

I’m sure the signings will come in but NL has lost valuable time on the training pitch and we may well get off to a sluggish start as a result ?

That`s my concern as well about more new signings which we badly need.

It`s so important that we get off to a strong start this season if we want to do anything meaningful this season.

"Our attack not pressing their keeper and our defense not picking up their attacker"

when they did press the keeper, he just knocked the ball into the free man 30 yards away who had no one within 20 yards of him, happened 3 times in the first 3 minutes of the second half.

ill keep saying we need a lot more than 4 or 5 but with questions around the recruitment not just this summer, even if its only that number they are going to have to work a few miracles for it to work.

Wetherby for the second and third goal there was not an absence of a central defender Jon Tod just misread the flight of the ball and got turned similarly what happened for the first goal in the Scottish cup and then for the third we dropped gilmour into cb to make a 5 back after the subs and he lost his man

The team were miles off it yesterday. Highlights the need for signings all over the pitch that a win may have glossed over.

Need a GK, two CB’s, a RWB, a CM as a minimum. Shows how much of a loss JCM, Ngwenya, Todd will be.

I think and hope we can get Ox back before the window closes. I think this week’s signing is to tide us over until then ?

We did, but we lost 2 in the summer (Oz & Deniz).

Think we all knew how much we’d lose JCM & Ngwenya, but we’re confident that we would bring in adequate replacements. Maybe Cleali-Harding was saw as the Bene replacement and Robinson and someone in the pipeline are the JCM & KN replacements?? I don’t know, I suppose what I’m saying is we just need to wait and see what happens.

if plan A is going to be 442 then need 2 wingers as well but they are going to have to shift a lot of players also.

the club has known for a year of positions that would need to be sorted, the keeper being one of them, even if its as a backup and they wouldnt have planned on Terrell being injured but is this guy really the best they could come up with, with a year to plan for it?

We really need more from Morrison. For someone we paid to acquire, it looks like we`ve come out as the losers in the deal. His end product just isn`t good enough.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

I think that is fair comment. Berkey also made a similar comment. He needs to be able to stand up to challenges a bit more, but that may improve with preseason training. Perhaps not try to compete physically but more work to his strengths in terms of trying to create space, try to get behind defenders and try and pick someone out with the crosses.

Why would you expect anymore from Morrison?

He was good with Falkirk in League but time they came up to championship, he was out the team by Christmas as he wasn`t up to the level.

Yeah, we’ve seen the best of him in flashes but in general, agree we need better. I don’t get some of the praise he got last season if I’m being honest.
