Bellinghams first goal should have been ruled out, as the ball hit the camera above the pitch, from the goalies clearance.

The sensor in the ball said otherwise.

If only we had something like, say eyes perhaps, that could determine whether the ball hit something that it shouldn`t or not. Oh well, maybe one day such things will be invented.

I`m not convinced by `snicko` at all. The signal that gets shown is far too clean to be a real signal.

The push before Norway`s 2nd - I don`t really get it, both of them are pushing each other and the Anderson goes down like a sack of spuds.

Still I think England deserved it, and have a good chance in the semi!

Today or tomorrow FIFA will have to come out and admit that the ball did in fact hit the wire, even from the not so great camera angle we have on it now, it is clear the ball changed flight in mid air.

The senor is talking pash.

TBF, the right thing to do, is to chuck England out.

I`d usually agree but I got England in the world cup sweep at work so I`m slightly hoping they get to the final...and then they are hammered 10-0 by France.

Either way, I don’t see why England should be punished for the Norway keeper putting the goal kick into low earth orbit.

It is this type of level headed, logical governance that we need in the World game.

Can we pass the decision to Trump if FIFA doesn`t have the balls? I`m sure he`s an expert in this sort of stuff.

England were poor again last night. They are coming up against poor teams with one/two decent or superstar players.

Put them up against a team like France with superstars all over the park and will they really win?

I disagree with Bandy. I thought they were fortunate to win. A draw was probably fairer.

Find England really hard to watch. So often the ball gets played back and forth across the midfield then out wide into a decent position... Only for them then to a) have hardly anyone in the box and b) the wide man cuts inside repeatedly rather than mixing it up and hitting the byline.

Dave, England haven`t been great but neither have Argentina. Both keep finding a way to win though Argentina now look like they are running on fumes. As the tournament progresses and Messi finds it more difficult to recover between games his influence on matches is becoming less and less. I don`t know who will progress from either semi but is football coming home? It`s never been more likely.

They just might as well be closed

Ultimately good teams win even when not playing well. When you get to this stage of tge WC I think its anyones game, a moment of brilliance, a mistake or luck can often determine the outcome. I think any one of the semi finalists has a chance to win it.

I find England awful to watch - not because of the play, and I don`t mind the players or the manager - they all seem to be pretty decent dudes.

It`s the commentary and the media surrounding them. It`s just murder on the ears.

That`s the first England match I`ve watched in this WC and I muted the sound. You miss a bit of atmosphere but it`s better for my mental health.

Matterface and Dixon are awful to listen to. Biased doesn`t even cover it plus they frequently call decisions wrong.

I hope Argentina don’t slip up as I couldn’t see the Swiss beating England.

I was thinking the same before the game but after an hour I had changed my mind as up to that point the Swiss were the far better team …. Until the guy dived got his second yellow and red.

If diving is a yellow then why does Harry Kane not have 5 yellow cards by now and a red for diving in the box against DRC ?

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.
