When stars from all sports seemed to be within touching distance and not too far removed from everyday life. Lucky to meet him at a few horse racing events and he really was a decent spud. Nothing seemed to much bother and he never seemed in a hurry to leave a conversation. Reply |

He also came across as a man of great moral standing, and a really nice chap as well. A real shame. Just spent an hour or so reading about him, seemed like a great life and career he had. At the point he won his second European Footballer of The Year award, only Alfredo Di Stefano, Franz Beckenbauer and Johan Cruyff had achieved that feat Reply |
