This is easily the best signing news of the summer. Makes me fully confident the people in charge of the club are really the correct type of people we want here. Especially after we were told the Germans were the real deal and they were anything but. Lennon wouldn’t sign a contract if we had imposters running the club.

Good news for a bit of stability, he’s had way more budget then the last few managers got but used it well in the end last season.

Surely this season we’ll improve on last seasons point tally and continue the upward trend.

I was not worried about the manager leaving, he seems happy here. I think the Scotland manager`s job could have been a temptation and might have worked given Lennon is so far removed from his somewhat controversial playing career.

Still good to have it on an official footing.

I really think you’re unfair on the Germans.
They took over a month or two before lockdown.

"living true sportsmanship"

It made me take up golf.

They were not the right fit for a one club city.

Made my weekend, this news. There was a risk he would have given it just another year to gain promotion, however this shows he’s happy and committed to us regardless!

Cool what was the excuse for the other 3 years they were in charge? And don’t say winning league 1 because Steve bracknall and the Royal Oak could have won that league they gave us managerial powerhouses like yogi grant mcpake and tidser

Good to see. I`m never convinced by any manager but I like how Lennon and Brunskill appear to approach things. Hopefully I don`t regret saying this as the season goes on!

Just because things didn`t work out with the Germans doesn`t mean they were `impostors`. And I don`t remember us going into the League 1 season with everyone thinking it was a foregone conclusion that we would win it.

This is great news and it once again shows that we are on the right footing as a club, yet people would rather turn it into talking about the Germans. Give me strength.

I’m delighted with the news, Lennon and Co have made me enjoy going to the football again and have put us back on the map. Long may it continue.

They did fill us all with a fair bit of false hope. I think they massively underestimated both the amount of money it takes to compete in the Championship and how much work, and again money, was needed to get the club into a position where it could compete. They were also pretty wasteful with the money they did apparently spend. The training ground fiasco springs to mind. They blamed that for the cash running dry, but when you read the communications regarding it, they gave the impression that grants were doing most of the heavy lifting. All of that for what is basically an astro pitch with some portacabins.

Bord and Co have spent £1 million on a new pitch, with further investment in the same area this season, as well as backing the manager with investment in the transfer market. They seem to know what we need to take us to the next level. Hopefully we can sort the club merch out for next season.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

None of that justifies calling then `impostors` in my opinion. People make business decisions all the time that don`t work out for all sorts of reasons. Controlling the cost of construction work during the Covid epidemic was nearly impossible and most folk would commend sourcing outside grants to keep costs down as good business.

Football fans just seem to love a scapegoat though.

Great news for the club. Neil Lennon was always the marquis signing and a 2-yr extension is just terrific.

Looking forward, not back!
