The beauties of Pars TV were that it was legit, easy to use, reliable, a good place to go to from England for video and audio of Pars matches.

What now? I`m not gonna use dodgy stuff, so there`s nothing for me. The dafc.net website section `Live` is about as useful as a handset tae a haddie.

Who does the system serve now? An admin group?

Give me Pars TV - fitbaw for the people by the people.

It’s still ParsTV. It’s just been rebranded. It’s the same people involved (-1 and a new commentator). It’s the same equipment as before. The difference for the club is it’s a new platform to showcase it.

Where`s the audio stream for folk like me stuck in England?

As for the rebranding - what`s the purpose of it? Are you sure it`s not just been subbed out for the sake of more digitalisation and different auto-processors at the expense of user-friendliness?

Rebranding just changes the name.

There’s no audio only anymore, which is a shame tbh.

Pars TV wasn`t without its issues either. As has been posted above, it`s essentially just a rebrand. I`m not sure why, if FawaNews can get a reliable stream, we don`t try to emulate their setup. We might not get the replays and other extras, but I`m sure most fans would rather have a basic, smooth stream than a jittery one that`s barely watchable.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

Why should I give flying fek what you think? I posted my complaint, it`s nothing to do with you because you can get live stream - okay - Mr AdamAntsPANTSstripe?

And, sacktheref - you can have your smooth stream. What`s that got to do with me wanting audio?

Why can folk in foreign countries get video and I can`t? I can never get to EEP, or anywhere in Scotland, for matches. I would gladly pay for video if I could get it. I would gladly pay for audio if I could get it. Why am I discriminated against just because I live in the UK and not overseas? Is DAFC supposed to be inclusive?

What service do they provide for folk who, for health reasons, can never get to matches? What do blind folk do, on a Pars match day, if they live in the UK? As far as I can tell Radio West Fife doesn`t provide commentary either.

Any useful suggestions, or is no-one else capable of thinking this is a particular problem for a particular sector of Pars fans?

It`s more than a pity Buffy. Put yourself in the position - lifelong Pars fan - can`t get to matches any more for reasons of health and distance - a new season arrives full of promise - can`t get live stream, then - deafening silence.

You do realise it`s the authorities who deny streaming in the UK, and not the club?

What a state to get into!

Not something that I would ever do, but I’ve heard from a friend that if you get something called a VPN you can change your geographical location…and could therefore appear to be overseas when you are not….

According to that great bastion of truth - AI -

`The club took back full control of its streaming services from ParsTV to transition to a new internal digital upgrade. The text rules state that domestic UK/Ireland fans are officially promised audio-only coverage for domestic competitive matches. However, the payment options and layout for domestic listeners are still being rolled out.`

--------------------------

That seems to suggest that audio-only IS coming.

I wonder why the club couldn`t post - `Audio-only is coming`?

Well I better not post any more about it because it upsets some folk who feel duty bound to enlighten others with their sage counsel.
