Hopefully they will be fit for what will be a tough game. I think what stood out for me in the interview was how much NL enjoys being at the club. Last season was great. Author: Jealous Furniture Date: Thu 6th Aug 2026. 22:38 Nightmare if Ox doesn`t play, I really don`t rate the other 2 keepers at this stage, although maybe Dibaga will be better when he gets fit. Maybe Rudden being out makes it easier to have an extra midfielder on, which by the sound of it we could`ve done with against ICT. Shaw and A Tod up front with Corbally in behind, Gilmour & Amade further back? I know Andy Tod is supposed to be a player that plays off the strikers but we can`t give up a midfielder to accommodate that every week. I think eventually he`s going to have to be a striker or a wide player in our kind of team. Reply |

He`s already our top scorer and he hit the post from around 25 yards last week with the keeper nowhere near it. He`s still only 20 I think. Isn`t he allowed to make mistakes? Btw, when NL was going through the injury list in his preview he didn`t mention Connor Young. Good to hear Abdulai will be back in training next week though. Reply |

Author: Berry Date: Fri 7th Aug 2026. 08:40 All I’m saying is latter end of last season and even the start of this one, he has been off the boil and not as influential and at the standard we know he can reach (thinking about it, was noticeable for me after the Scotland call up). That was some strike at ICT, but he didn’t do anything of note for the other 90mins he was on, same as all our attack really with exception to Kane. He’s missed some good opportunities, twice this season I recall him in a great position to take the ball with a reluctance to use his left foot which had he done could have had at least another goal in his back pocket. Not sure if it’s just his running style as well but it comes across that his efforts to try and retrieve the ball back isn’t where it should be. Whether he’s 20 or 38 doesn’t really matter for me, yeah he’s young and has more development in him, will make mistakes but I just assess on what I see regardless of age. Rudden for example, he’s been poor as well, getting himself in the right positions at times, work rate is high but his finishing needs to be more clinical and he can’t hold a ball up, easily taken off it as was evident at ICT. Morrison another experienced one but bar maybe one or two games has been a really poor signing. Anyway, if Ox is out then that is a big blow, important game this weekend given we have Livvy away next league fixture so getting 3 points on Saturday is really needed. Reply |

| 11. Author: wee eck Date: Fri 7th Aug 2026. 09:07 With all these passengers in the team it`s a wonder we managed to make the play-offs and the Cup final last season. As far as Tod`s concerned, maybe he preserves his effort until it really matters. He`s scored 4 goals in 5 games so far and I think for two of the them he actually started the moves that lead to the goals. The way players are monitored now I`m sure the manager would be telling him to up his game if he wasn`t happy with his effort but he rarely subs him. Reply |

It looked like he had done his left calf on Saturday.... frustratingly I think it was when he was going down behind the goal for the ball. Thank God he didnt go off on Saturday! Oh, and as for Tod, I do think his running style has a part to play. He does a lot.... rather him than someone who fires around non stop but produces no end product. Author: Westies squint kicks Date: Fri 7th Aug 2026. 09:58 There was one or two looks between Ox and the other keepers and AC on Saturday in the warm up as if he was nursing something but you’d never have guessed in the game. I said on another thread on Saturday in regards to A.Tod it may be we have to accept he’s going to disappear in games and then produce something of quality that ultimately makes a difference. I get why folk are frustrated with it and it is definitely a point for debate on whether he produces the quality often enough to be forgiven the quiet spells. (That’s not my opinion merely the cusp of the argument). Reply |

| 18. Author: Indiapar1 Date: Fri 7th Aug 2026. 10:46 A Tod is a natural goalscorer. No doubt he attracts more attention on the park from the opposition. He is still young so add to the mix inconsisrency. Last season he played alot of games so fatigue small knocks add to the equation. He is human so has good days and bad days. If you play gokf, you know what thats like! I think its important not to set too high expectations of him. I am sure he has his own expectations. Apart from maybe Robbie Fraser I am pretty sure AT covers more ground most games than anyone else. He may have had a quiet game or two but he has still started the season well, scored 3… I think and it should have been 4 with that strike at ICT. He would be in my team every week.
