| 1. Author: dpard Date: Wed 12th Aug 2026. 06:02 I know there was a lot of talk about this a few weeks ago, i was wondering if anyone else was still having issues accessing anything club related from this season. The last video i can see/access is the Dibaga interview. I have scrolled through every page, clicked all available menu`s etc but can`t find anything more up to date. Author: parsloyal98 Date: Wed 12th Aug 2026. 06:48 I get that the club are looking to drive traffic towards the shiny new website but can’t help but feel we’re shooting ourselves in the foot by not making it easily accessible or even as last available on You Tube. Most will automatically think to visit You Tube for highlights and interviews etc. Prospective new fans will also probably head there as a first port of call. Agreed on the transcripts too. I think it could be sold better if the website was more intuitive. Also, I am not really clear if there are or will be other benefits to signing up the the DAFC website such as special offers etc. G Wardrope Reply |

| 13. Author: neils Date: Wed 12th Aug 2026. 12:24 The website is a bit of a mess sadly, need to do better here- the navigation, font sizes etc is a bit bizarre. I agree with interviews, it`s a club interview, so I don`t want or expect much of real interest - just the usual injury updates, how we played (positive) etc. that`s fine for me. It generally gets printed in the Courier - banal is fine. But the highlights should be easily accessible - it`s also a tool for promoting the club. Reply |

I mean, it`s neither brilliant or poor but it does what it needs to from my perspective. I don`t share others grumps about the videos being hard to find. I just put dafc.co.uk/live into the browser and they`re all in front of me and the site keeps me signed in. I watch them at work on the big screen on my lunch and don`t cast anything to a telly so the net impact on me is zero. In fact, it keeps me off YouTube so it might even be a net positive! That said, the decision to not post them on YouTube is one I do find a bit odd. I don`t know what the Pars are gaining by directing people to their own website as there`s no reward or payoff to the consumer for doing this. And, you`re potentially losing eyeballs who casually stumble upon things on YouTube. The kind of people who are motivated enough to find you on a website have consumer loyalty baked into them already. Plus, football patronage is unlike pretty much all other customer behaviour regardless. Overall... low personal impact but seemingly unnecessary friction for lots of other people. Maybe there`s a masterplan about to be uncovered that rewards people for being inside the body of the kirk. I can`t see it though. Reply |

Are they thinking they might make more revenue driving views to the website and having the videos on YouTube (Somewhere)? They can also gather personal data to target or sell on (I`ve not read the fine print). Certainly less convenient, and will result in less views. Its a very antiquated way of doing things. Reply |

Who is going to go on the Pars website, navigate through all the crap menus, register and sign in just to find some highlights? The most sensible thing to do would be to publish on YouTube and embed on the website. This is basic stuff done by organisations everywhere. Reply |

Looks like they want as many people signed up on the website as possible. They can then target advertising/sell sponsorship perhaps in the future. They have actual numbers, ages etc. Rather than little data via YouTube. May also be looking to gather a chunk of free users in a bid to start locking content behind a pay wall.
