Douglas Rae was much more sensible and poured in a lot of cash (even if it was only sweetie-money...) but after his sad demise, his family were less keen on squandering their inheritance. There have been stories about expected sponsorship being promised but not materialising. Many people say that Championship football in unsustainable - clubs like ourselves spending loads bids up the price for everyone else. they can`t all compete successfully and often run into trouble if they try. I think Morton fans were anticipating a long hard season. Maybe they will be grateful to get to the end intact. Reply |
