Author: Wotsit Date: Thu 20th Aug 2026. 20:02 General Zod, Thu 20 Aug 19:48 I like what Motherwell have done, but they were definitely given a lot of space to achieve that considering in their dark days they got to go into administration without any penalty and escaped relegation because of Taylor Report stuff. | 15. Author: parsmad68 Date: Thu 20th Aug 2026. 22:10 I don’t think Scottish teams can turn their noses up at any success in European competitions. Or even any European competitions. I previously used to think that it is unfair to place Champions of any league into qualification rounds, but now I am of the opinion that we are where we are in Scotland because of our own inward looking leagues and deserve our position in European football. The SPFL needs to have the resolve to help provide solutions if we want to be a power again in football at a European level. I am not likely to see this in my lifetime. I state it again. I enjoy championship football because I have no genuine knowledge of how the game I attend will turn out. That for me is football. Turning up to a game and being disappointed about how many goals a team has won by is not competition or even enjoyable. Reply |
