They had a good mix of experience, particularly at the back, to guide the starlets along. Schmeichel, Pallister, Parker, Bruce, Irwin, Keane and McClair were a strong spine to bed the inexperienced (but talented) players in to. I`m sure when we sort the tactics out and players get used to each other we`ll do alright this season but I reckon we`ll be inconsistent and struggle against the teams who have been around the block. Most clubs have a few loanees who are usually young lads from Premiership clubs. We`ve actually added a bit of experience with the signings of Ox, Robinson and Shaw and Donnelly has a few Premiership games under his belt. Oyirwoth looks like he might be an old head on young shoulders too. Reply |
