As you say, he got shafted by the Germans, starting the season with one goalie, and not being able to sign players until the last minute. Will always be grateful for the promotion season, and in the first season back in the Championship we were doing fine until a horrible injury crisis- he handled this really well. We were right to sack him, but most of the blame was the lack of interest by the Germans - they weren`t bad people at all, I just think they wildly underestimated what was needed at this level. He got shafted at Dundee also, and I`ve always thought he is a decent manager, so it`s good he has got this job. Reply |

Author: mars par Date: Fri 4th Sep 2026. 14:27 He got the better of the John McGlynn team that went all the way to the top 6 in the Premiership afterwards, I thought they had a far better squad than us that season We were right to let him go when we did, he wasn`t the main problem but he was certainly a big part of it the tactics he stuck by. He must feel sick looking on at the investment the club now gets under the Americans these days though Reply |
