9. Author: Bovril Man Date: Tue 15th Sep 2026. 14:22 Goalkeeping is still a desperate worry though: mistake merchants and bench-warmers…and that’s our best! Many other interesting outfield picks though; surprised Kenny McLean’s still there and Calvin Miller isn’t? Reply

11. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Tue 15th Sep 2026. 15:43 Bovril Man, Tue 15 Sep 14:22 At least Angus Gunn is back playing regular football and not a 3rd choice for his club. Best of the 4 easily I’d say. Reply
12. Author: wee eck Date: Tue 15th Sep 2026. 16:02 No place for Dominic Hyam who was in the WC squad. has he lost his place at Wrexham? I see he came on as a sub in the 6-0 thrashing by West Ham last Friday. I must admit I had to `google` Luis Binks. He`s had a nomadic career - born Gillingham, Spurs Academy, Montreal, Bologna, Coma, Coventry, Brondby. He qualifies via a Scottish grandad. `You got a stall outside the ground wee eck ? :-o))` Aye, Bpp, but macaroon bars will be available for the non-alcoholics! Reply

16. Author: Andrew283 Date: Wed 16th Sep 2026. 00:13 Hyam has been Wrexham captain all season playing in the middle of a back 3. Very surprised he`s not in the squad Reply
17. Author: Playup_Pompey Date: Wed 16th Sep 2026. 08:44 "Good to see new faces up front, instead of Dykes and Adams." ironically Dykes has 4 in 4 so far this season Reply
18. Author: Bandy Date: Wed 16th Sep 2026. 09:07 Dykes was very much a Clarke striker. His role in Clarkes team wasn`t to score goals. It was to punch holes for the `actual` goal scoring threats (McTominay and McGinn) to exploit with runs from deep. He played that role really well. Pocognoli clearly wants to try something a bit different. Reply
19. Author: KnebworthPar Date: Wed 16th Sep 2026. 15:11 The squad is refreshing. Keen to see how some of these young guys get on and the influence the new manager will have. I just hope we hive them some freedom and try and play some football. As much as I enjoyed the WC our football was terrible. Reply
20. Author: desparado Date: Wed 16th Sep 2026. 15:28 It will be interesting to see his first staring line up v Slovenia. What formation ? 442, maybe 3 central defenders ? Will he start with Hendry and McKenna and maybe one of the 3 new CB’s……or chuck 2 of the 3 in at the deep end ? I think McBurnie will start up top with Ure probably. Midfield still kinda picks itself , unless he gives McPake a start in place of Christie. We’ll soon find out… What an opportunity we missed in 2014. Reply
