TBH it`s pretty standard stuff, the sort of things most players say when they go to a new club, but I`m glad for Chris` sake that he seems to be enjoying things in Dingwall. | 2. Author: GG Riva Date: Thu 17th Sep 2026. 06:13 I`m one of those fans who like to hear how our former players are getting on, Stanza, so thanks for posting. It`s an interesting article, and like the player himself, I`m surprised to learn that Ross Co. has excellent facilities. Uncle Roy obviously splashed the cash there. 😁 I met Hammy many times when he took part in our Pars Tackle Health school visits and he was an excellent ambassador for the club, often staying behind after the bell at 3 pm, to sign autographs and pose for selfies with the kids. He was well respected by his Pars teammates and wasn`t vice captain for nothing. I loved his 100% commitment in every game and his willingness to play in any position the manager asked him to fill in. Our loss is County`s good luck. I think they`re a nailed on certainty to come back up next May.  Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |
| 3. Author: neils Date: Thu 17th Sep 2026. 17:10 We have an awful lot to be thankful to Hammy, especially in our injury season where he covered everywhere - centre half included! He was such a fantastic example, and I was a wee bit disappointed we didn`t offer him another contract, but it`s the right decision I guess, especially for Hammy- he would have got limited game time, his game is defensive midfielder really. Ross Co. Is a fantastic move for him though, he`s still young too and I think this club is set up for him- they need committed players up there, he will do stuff in the community as well. Reply |
