Thought it was a decent enough game, I had no expectations, gave the fringe players a run out, some took the chance , some weren`t so great.Nuri again is a class act.

Think it highlighted a difference in quality between our fringe players and first team. A bounce game and I get that but none of the fringe players made a claim for a start v Ayr.

This is Andy Tod`s world and we are lucky to live in it.

It`s beyond stupidity to read anything negative into a bounce match.

Nobody is. It actually highlighted I think that we aren’t as good as we think we are and that our squad players have a bit to go.

I was asking about the comment from Wee Eck regarding “our strength” as I’m not sure where he to thought that?

The front 3 who are not fringe players offered and showed nothing, Gilmour not pushing for a starting slot, only positives Bray ,and if Lennon does a Leishman , put John Tod up front , done more than any of the strikers .

"Think it highlighted a difference in quality between our fringe players and first team"

better players yes but i dont think there would be much of a difference in terms of the general play and movement on and off the ball though which is a big concern.

Hunter78 loves to take any opportunity to criticise the Pars. It`s why he supports them.

And then you love to exaggerate positivity but the realists know the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Despite what you may think, not all my posts about the club, players, etc are `positive`. On the other hand I don`t think Hunter78 ever makes a positive post which I find very strange. If he gets no pleasure from following the Pars, why bother? If he does, why not share it?

On the strength of our squad, I`d say it was as strong as it`s been since we returned to the Championship and losing a bounce game to a Premiership team when we had 6 players on international duty and 2 recovering from long-term injuries isn`t going to change that.

The only thing to moan about was the small crowd, Mo give 33 years to the pars and only 1100 turned up to honour him

A par since 1985

Surely the point of the post was that we had 5 players still out on International duty (Lobban, Kearney, Cleall-Harding, Oyirwoth and Tod) yet were still able to play a reasonably strong team and have a lot of options on the bench? We had some good spells, especially in the first half, abd our equaliser was well deserved. Aberdeen made 7 changes I think at the break, and rheir fresh legs seemed to make the difference early on, then we also made a raft of changes at 3-1. Abdulai isn`t going to be playing right back, Bray isn`t going to be playing right back MacLeod isn`t going to be playing left back, we aren`t going to be playing against players of Aberdeen`s quality (and it wasn`t a `reserve team` either, there were a good mix of players in bith halves for them) and it was a feckin bounce game!

All the best to Mo. I`m glad we did something to thank him for his service to the club. I hope he enjoyed the day.

On the game, I was a bit surprised by just how much better than us Aberdeen looked but I suppose we were missing a lot of first team players, their squad depth is obscene, and we had players playing unorthodox positions.

I thought there was a big physical difference between the teams, and disappointingly we were poor in the final third, and statuesque at the back at times.

Individually Bray and Abdullai played well today.

The guy Mahou that came on for them looked class.

Any pars fan that compares a testimonial for Mo Hutton that is a day to say thanks for his service like a championship game is a bellend!
It was a run out and nobody cares about the scoreline.

1100 people paid a tenner for a kitman.

I actually think that’s pretty good going.

The game meant nothing, it’s the international break. I took an extra shift at work so I’d be off when the Pars are at home for a league game. I’m pretty sure I won’t be the only one making that choice

Good point on the money part - if Mo keeps the ticket money he’s just made £10k off a game that would normally be behind closed doors as an appreciation of his work for the club over the years. Pretty good going Id say.

Some people may be forgetting the scoreline in the last COMPETITIVE game we played against Aberdeen. Just as a reminder, 3-0 to DAFC.

It should be said that this isn`t the only event organised to raise money for Mo`s retrirement testimonial. I think there was a Golf Day in the Spring and there may be others. People can contribute in different ways if they couldn`t attend the match.
