| 2. Author: WYPar Date: Sat 10th Oct 2026. 15:05 Quality lacking so far on the stream. I’m sure it’s down to Ayr’s internet but the fact it freezes every time the camera moves is shocking to watch. Quality isn’t much better when it is working though. Reply |

| 4. Author: fcda Date: Sun 11th Oct 2026. 10:50 From DAFCLive FB page... So a wee update from the team after yesterday`s Dunfermline Athletic FC stream at Somerset Park. Ooft that was a tough one! ⛈️ We were prepared for the forecasted poor weather and we have to give a huge shout out to the team at Ayr United Football Club for supporting us with space, power and a camera feed. They had a last minute call off so we were able to support them with a camera operator at short notice. Space is tight in that main stand but the team were able to accommodate us and we are hugely grateful for their support. 🛜 Started well but the internet provider that Ayr use decided to stop being an internet provider just after the match started and we quickly spotted heavy buffering. Both ourselves and the Ayr team were working together to share camera and connection resources so we both had the same issues. We were fortunate enough to have a few backup options but we could deploy Starlink safely at that point so we moved our connection over to the mobile network which seemed to be stable and from 30 minutes the stream seemed to be solid! We had a blip at half time which was expected with everyone using their mobiles but the second half seemed to be smooth. 🎥 Yesterday was our first day with our new streaming platform as well, we have moved from Vmix to OBS as well as a new overlay system which will give us much better options for content injection during a match. It`s going to take a few weeks to get fully up and running but the initial feedback around the new graphics is positive (substitution info for example). Lots of new stuff coming soon and there is a lot of working going on behind the scenes. 🤕 On that note... As it`s a new system we did get a LOT wrong yesterday. Mics not muted when content played, multiple content audios going out at the same time, content not starting when it should... The team has aged at least 10 years in a single match 🤣 We have learned a lot from that one match and have a huge amount of changes coming for the upcoming matches. We have a really busy schedule coming up with lots of home games so we are happy to have some reliable connectivity so we can focus on improving the match day experience. Thanks again for everyone`s support so far, this is a journey to build a better platform for you all and it is a huge amount of work for the team of volunteers at the club. As always, if you have comments or suggestions please get in touch. We will share some sneak peaks of the changes to the streaming platform through the week and what you can expect on upcoming live broadcasts! #COYP 🏁💪 Reply |
| 5. Author: neils Date: Sun 11th Oct 2026. 11:25 Why was it necessary to move from ParsTV? I used it for years, and it was ideal for an overseas fan. Back in blighty now, so haven`t had a need, I go to the games, but what is it they are trying to do here? It sounds like they are overcomplicating what fans of a 2nd tier Scottish club nee and want. | 6. Author: RhinoPars Date: Sun 11th Oct 2026. 16:23 Neils - The new team is still relatively inexperienced, so I am prepared to cut them a bit of slack. New ventures always have teething problems. Much as I really appreciated and valued ParsTV and the efforts of Brian and his team over the years (as an expat season-ticket holder since its beginning) and will always be very appreciative of their service to us - I have to say that barring the really annoying payments/accessing stream issues at the start, the new DAFCLive service so far has been an improvement on ParsTV for me. I would guess it will continue to improve as the team gains experience and I suspect will introduce additional features. The team seem keen to learn as they go, and I like the openness to admitting what went wrong yesterday. Despite some minor buffering affecting the game, I thought the match feed was still pretty good, given the less-than-ideal setup and facilities at Ayr. Personally, I think Steven Mill`s commentary is a big improvement, and I thought John Hillcoat (ex Pars and Ayr goalkeeper) and, on another day, Callum Morris (ex Pars central defender) were very good co-commentators too. I am also enjoying the more frequent replays. Time will tell, but I don`t think DAFCLive is overcomplicating what fans want. rather, my read is that it is trying to build on what ParsTV achieved and is seeking to provide a better, more reliable streaming experience. | 8. Author: davepars Date: Mon 12th Oct 2026. 16:53 It has improved....it`s also the same team. Below is from a comment on the same post quoted above. the team that operated match days for ParsTV is still here and running the production, the major change was behind the scenes with a new website provider who is also providing CDN and distribution for our broadcasts. The biggest change is that the whole platform has been right under the same system the club uses for all its functions including ticketing, merchandise and news. As you can imagine it`s been a huge undertaking, but the team who has been slowly building the old ParsTV setup is still here and building the new platform under direct support from the club. Investment in the right places and a long term plan for growth is allowing us to develop the system. It`s exciting times but lots of work 💪🏁 Post Edited (Mon 12 Oct 16:55) Reply |
| 9. Author: RhinoPars Date: Mon 12th Oct 2026. 17:59 Thanks for heads up Davepars. I don’t know who is involved but just like with ParsTV, a big thanks to everyone involved. Being able to stream games and see the highlights is so appreciated by us expat fans. Post Edited (Mon 12 Oct 19:38) Reply |
| 10. Author: Paristotle Date: Fri 16th Oct 2026. 13:03 I paid for a month`s subscription, assuming that I would need to pay again each month if I wanted to continue watching, but now it looks like it comes out every month automatically - anyone know how to cancel this? I`d like to be able to just pay for a month where there are particularly interesting games! Reply |

Tried emailing the address I found for help but had no answer. Is there another way to get in contact with someone to make sure I dont have an issue for Saturday? Appreciate any help, Cheers Reply |
