The only bed wetters in this thread must be the ones who weren’t there today. Anyone complaining about that today is miles off it. Aye we should’ve taken our chances but we are dominating games

Defensively we are sound, midfield is quality the only reason we aren’t gonna win the league is the fact our strikers aren’t good enough.

Ideally getting some out on loan in January and get some folk in who know how to actually score.

Missing a goal scorer is the only thing missing from this squad, perhaps Olly Thomas will be the man.

The fact is there aren`t many prolific scorers in the Championship. Robbie Muirhead is top with 7, which must include a few pens, and Josh Cooper is next with 4 which will include today`s pen. After that there are four players with 3 each.

Rather than finding the `magic bullet`of one striker to turn things round we should be looking at getting supporting players and the midfield to contribute some goals. There must be drills players can practise to develop their skills but converting chances is often a mental problem rather than mastering a technique or getting into the right positions. I think it`s been suggested before but maybe we should get someone like Stevie Crawford in to do some coaching. He wasn`t an out-and-out striker but he converted a fair percentasge of the chances he got.

What’s the point of dominating games if we can’t score?!

Even when at Morton it took a long range strike from Lobban, chances we missed there were criminal, same again today.

Our forward players have been awful this season so far and really letting down the rest of the team.

Some of these chances are easy, you don’t need to be a professional footballer to put some of them away.

Lennon has to take some of the blame as he’s assembled this squad of attacking players.

Adams missed two and McLeod one absolute sitters, you have to score these.

Could be worth sticking Charlie Gilmour back in the team - he and Amade were a great partnership and seemed to link better with the strikers.

It is strange with the Pars how many proven goal scorers we recruit from other clubs that seem to struggle to do the business with us...

A long way to go in the season but we absolutely must start converting our chances. Autumn/Winter period is key in this league with more injuries and suspensions for all teams ahead, so our squad being quite deep should hopefully help in the months ahead. Just need to start hitting the back of the net and taking the chances!

Adams 0 in 7.
Kane 0 in 7.
Shaw 0 in 5.
Rudden 0 in 6.
Morrison 0 in 4.
Tod 1 in 8.

That’s our strikers record this season in the league.

Our goals this season have came from.

Tod 1
Cooper 4
MacLeoad 1
Lobban 1

The striker situation is what’s going to cost us this season.
