Whole host of players on good contracts offering sweet fa. Shaw and Morrison absolutely can’t be arsed, barely bust a gut. Let’s hope Thomas gets up to speed in a few weeks.

The ref!!

Ashcroft somehow got away with 2 bad fouls in a row then assaulted Adam’s to finally get booked. Should have been his second.

Stops the game as we are on a counter attack for a horrendous attempt at a tackle only to talk to their player and let him walk away from him as he does so.

Booked lobban for hee haw.

Btw Abdullai was outstanding again but also thought Donnelly was excellent. I was a wee bit concerned how we’d get on with SCH but he really played well

Hard to be disappointed again. That`s the two big pre-season favourites who have somehow escaped with a point from East End, and they`ve been made to look like average sides. Lobban was good other than his mistake, Abdulai and Donnelly were great, and the front three never gave them peace. Midfield wasn`t as snappy as usual today and some of our passing was a little slow.

No idea what game the referee was watching. Ashcroft should have been booked for pulling a shirt to stop a promising attack, then for a handball stopping a through ball then eventually did get one. The ref pulled it back when Tod managed to wriggle free from a poor lunge, but then didn`t book the boy. Then he did book Lobban for winning the ball. Would have to see the potential penalty on Shaw near the end but it looked like the boy didn`t get any of the ball.

We`re quite clearly the best team in the league up to the 18 yard box. Not sure what else we csn do. Oyirwoth was really unlucky with the one of the post, where the keeper was well beaten and Tod`s chance was really hard, attempting a volley in mid air and cutting across it, but he`s the kind of guy you expect to score.

To be fair, Oxborough also had to make a couple of smart saves but we limited Thistle pretty well again tonight. Hopefully a good win against a poor Queens Park on Saturday and then a massive game at Ochilview where we really need to show we can break down a stubborn defence.

Adams gave Ashcroft a torrid time. Immense physical effort by him. Think he’s found a home on the right wing. Looked so dangerous out wide in the second half. It’s gonna be Oli Thomas up front with Adam’s on the right and Tod on the left. Might just start the goals flowing!

In terms of enjoyment this was the best this season and no question we looked far more likely to win in the second half controlling most of the play and winning lots of duels.

Frustrating final ball again our downfall with only Andrew Tod looking a danger.
He had a great game trying different things than just hogging the wing and looked a real threat.
A good finisher and we’re winning that match by a few goals.

Well, we played even better than Saturday and unlucky only to come away with a point. The goal stopped our momentum for a a good 15 mins but we gradually got back on top. Second half started as the first, with us well in the ascendancy.
Tod scored a cracker but I think if he stoops to head his chance in the second half, he scores.
Lots of positives for me. I’ve not seen a better team in this league. We just need to keep going.
Abdulai will go for good money.

PS. Ref was sh1te. You can tell he’s never played football by the way he ran. Always a giveaway

Really good game.

Thought we looked a good side tonight. Lobban(who I think is an outstanding RB) gives a ball away that no Partick player would. Think he`s a cracking player though.

Tod goal was top class. Adams out on the right makes sense. He`s not a CF. Donnelly at LCB looks good and a good replacement for Harding.

Good batch of young players but we just can`t get it right up top. The most important part of winning games seems the most difficult part for our management team to work out.

Partick will win this league IMO bur we really need to make sure we get second to have a chance in the play off

Good performance against one of the favourites for the league.

Ox made 2 smart stops.

Defence solid with Donnelly stepping right up to replace SCH. Lobban was excellent again bar the slack pass for the goal. 2 ways you can react after a mistake like that and thankfully he didn`t let it get to him at all.

Amade was ok but got dragged around a bit too much by Stanway first half. Oliywurth a bit slack for my liking. Bray has deserved a shot in the team and he`s getting better every week. McLeod frustrates the fk out of me. He has the skill but hardly ever takes a man on. Tod must`ve shut a few folk up on here with that goal but then misses a golden chance to win it.

The big man up front.....you have to love him. He gave Ashcroft a torrid time, none of our other strikers are capable of that, not even Kane.

Subs kinda killed it a bit, but Thistle seemed content to sit in and counter attack and maybe force us into a mistake.

Overall, I thought we played well, keeping in mind the strong opposition. Plenty to be positive about just the lack of goals which surely have to come, starting on Saturday.

That ref was absolutely atrocious. Can`t even be bothered naming all the incidents, too many shocking decisions to mention. Worst of them all the 3 blatant bookable offences for Ashcroft. Awful awful display.

There was another guy, other than Ashcroft, who amazingly escaped a yellow.
The worst of all was to pull play back for the above player who tried to take Fraser out and then not book him. Beggars belief

In his post-match interview NL says they`re hoping SCH doesn`t need surgery but he`ll still be out for a long spell. He thought AT`s goal was `world class`!

I haven`t seen anything in Livi or PT that should concern the Pars. We were the better team in both games. The problem is that teams will sit in. There were times PT had everyone behind the ball or 6 across the back. We aren`t able to break that down. If the ball is going wide, ee need to beat the defender and get people in the box to get on the end of it. Ee played in front of PT quite a bit and created very little 2nd half. Its turning that possession into a threat in forward positions. Hopefully that will change soon.

How were we unlucky, apart from Tod’s goal their keeper had nothing to do all game. Not once did we threaten him. Oxborough had to make more saves.
It’s not bad luck the amount of shots we put over the bar and majority miles over, it’s poor execution.

Bray and Tod missed sitters and Oyirworth hit the post. We more than deserved to win that match.

Problem is rightly so, lots around me were saying forwards, not back or sideways.
Problem is there is no one up front to recieve the ball, so they have no where to go. No flicks, no one twos and it looks very negative.
As a result we do a lot of wide stuff, but then have poor crosses, or more importantly, the strikers are not there and if they are, they are behind defenders and nothing happens..
And other than tod they need to learn how to shoot.
Other than that it was good, but no cigar.
