Would still have him here.

Rarely misses games, heads everything that comes his way - a combination of him and Abdulai would be incredible.

Big Ash was good playing alongside Calum Morris, but his limitations were exposed when he was paired with Danny Devine.

Not your average Sunday League player.

IFifa rules on just man, goala scoring chances.. it does infer last man applies,, but not in all cases.

fifa rules on last man orn football fifa(soccer), a foul that stops a clear goal-scoring chance is governed by IFAB / FIFA Law 12 under the rule called DOGSO (Denial of an Obvious Goal-Scoring Opportunity). [1, 2]

To determine whether a foul counts as a "last man" or DOGSO offense, referees must evaluate four specific criteria: [1]

1. The 4 Criteria for DOGSO

For a foul to qualify as denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, all four of these elements must be present: [1, 2]

Distance to goal: The closer the foul occurs to the opponent`s goal, the more obvious the opportunity is.

Direction of play: The attacker`s overall movement must be directed toward the opponent’s goal, not moving away or out wide.

Likelihood of controlling the ball: The attacker must already have control of the ball, or be highly likely to gain control if they weren`t fouled.

Location and number of defenders: There must be no other defenders (besides the player committing the foul) who could realistically stop the attacker. Note: Being the "last man" alone does not automatically make it DOGSO if the other criteria (like ball control or direction) are missing. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. The Punishment: Red Card vs. Yellow Card

The disciplinary action depends heavily on where the foul happens and whether the defender attempted to play the ball. [1]

đźš« Outside the Penalty Area

Always a Red Card: If all four DOGSO criteria are met and the foul takes place outside the 18-yard box, the offender is sent off (red card). This applies regardless of whether it was an accidental trip or a deliberate pull. The restart is a direct free kick.

When Morris left Ashcroft was a total bomb scare! Wouldn’t have him back don’t like his physical game and he gets an easy ride from referees for some reason.

Still can`t believe we just let Nisbet go.
