Judging by the weather forecast I’ve seen for Glasgow, it should rain throughout the match while winds are unlikely to exceed 35 km/hr, blustery enough but not excessive. The storm is set to pass through in the evening. Much will depend on how good the drainage is at Lesser Hampden. Could be one of those games of two halves with the team that best holds its nerve against the wind coming out the winner. Post Edited (Sat 24 Oct 15:23) Reply |

| 12. Author: Paralex Date: Sat 24th Oct 2026. 12:46 Very heavy rain here in Glasgow right now. At the least, the playing surface will be squelchy. This might suit the heavier built players more than the nimble footed variety. With just over two hours to kickoff, I don`t see much promise of the weather easing up. If we can fashion a win today, it might say something positive about the character of our team. Reply |

I guess if there are already stormchasers there for Oz I can turn back now. Oz, I find this one pretty accurate. You can change from temperature to max gust, average wind speed etc, and can zoom in to Hampden. I`ve found it to be pretty accurate, even if the timing is a wee bit off now and again. The darkest blue for rain can be somewhat confusing though.... it means that there`s a chance of rain but dark blue in reality means that the chance is rsther low and likely to be spitting rather than something heavier in my experience. It has saved me getting soaked a few times. If you got backwards in time down the bottom you can see the observed in recent time and align that with the forecasts and judge how accurate the forecasts look. Note that observed is every 5 mins vs forecasts every 15 minutes on the rainfall which means it looks like things are speeding up. Hope you managed to get a bit of a kip.
