It`s a shame when the match thread becomes a pile-on against one player. None of the forward players found it easy-going tonight.

3 points in the bag, and nothing else matters

I`m beginning to think it`s not a No.9 we need up front, it`s a 999...

:)

Jokes aside, we do need to address the striker issue. The tough games keep coming—Caley next, then Rovers.

Fantastic result, well done lads. Think it is shaping up to be a straight run for the title between the Pars and Partick Thistle.

First home league game they`ve lost this season. Might have been a hard watch but hey, 3 more points, equal 3rd in league and 4 points from top. Who says we can`t challenge for top spot. If you don`t go for it, you don`t get. Two thirds of the season still to go.

A deserved win in the end. You saw the significance of that win by the reaction of the players at the full time whistle.
These are games that win you leagues.

Last 4 days have put us back in the title race. You can see by the way teams set up that they don`t relish playing us.

A great 3 points against a top four team.

Macleod and Cooper have both chipped in with goals this season. Clearly Kane and A Tod have goals in them. Olly Thomas has goals in him. Bray has goals in him. Shaw has scored goals at this level.

I don`t think the answer is signing anyone else. Somehow NL needs to find the combination up front that gets us converting the huge number of chances that we`re creating in almost every match.

You could argue that the central midfield could chip in with a couple more and we don`t seem to have as much threat from set pieces as in the last couple of seasons (partly, because we take all of the corners short).

Or we just get used to winning 1-0 every week.

Fantastic again Pars, we are going to give some team a hammering, but a great win at a difficult ground.

Amazing support also.

Good result ground it out………

So frustrating to watch. In terms of flair and style we are streets ahead off everyone else. There just one piece of the jigsaw missing unfortunately it’s the most important piece.

You’ve seen the Pars now please go home!

Thought Fraser was a tad shakey tonight at points, other than that the other three were solid as ever at the back.

Adams needs dropped on Saturday or a formation change to put a striker beside him. Kane n Shaw are definitely the better options to him, Thomas too once he’s fully fit. Cooper injured, McLeod n Tod both looked like they were carrying niggles come the end. Maybe forced to make a couple changes come Saturday.

Agree but then he hits a 40~50 yard cross field pass perfectly. It is his short game that is causing his issues. Lost the ball twice in short passes.

Adams doesn`t need to be dropped—he just doesn`t need further exposure as a sole striker, which he clearly is not.

Put him on the wing, where he can flourish. Alternatively, play two up front or bring him on as an impact sub.

There is a lot to his game that is valuable to us—defenders must hate playing against him because he is strong, aggressive, can put himself about, has good ball skills, can pass short and long with accuracy, and readily finds space to play into. It`s that last bit—the bit in front of goal—that so badly lets him (and us) down. He clearly lacks the necessary skills and confidence in that department. So why play him there?

I am at a loss as to why Neil Lennon has persisted with him up front when it is clear to all and sundry that`s not his best role. As many have said, we have plenty other options.

But when all is said and done, Adams is a talent worth persisting with. He just needs to be in the correct role. Not so long ago, when he was, he won Man of the Match.
