My favourite memory from Stenny, winning the league after a boring draw, but, thanks to the blue Brazil beating QoS, meant we won the league! Post match, the team took over the podium at Ochilview to receive the accolade of the visiting fans! I`m led to believe that QoS players visited the Paragon after the matches, to congratulate the league winners.

John Watson popping his champagne from his top scorer award.

The convoy home to the kingdom was pretty good too.

I’m still remember that game as well. Well at least being on the pitch after the game to celebrate. I was only little so was on my Dad’s shoulders. So I could seen the players celebrating. Also remember coming back home listening to the radio.

Got to be the 5-4 game - will never see anything like that again I don’t think. 4-2 down in 89th min was a ridiculous win, especially with the squad we had that year.

I believe it was 3-3 at Cowdenbeath after being 3-1 down but enough for us to win the league.

Aye I was at side of the dugout that night mind sure Mel rennje was in phone in their boardroom — QoS weee 3-1 up at half time - came out and told Leishman it was 3-3.
I mind running onto the pitch right at the back of the bench

That was also a rearranged game that had originally been postponed (sure I’ve got both programmes somewhere) - original game we turned up and it was called of late for frozen pitch so supporters club buses headed to the Alloa Forfar game

Until tonight my only visit there was the 1-0 win in cup. We originally beat them 7-1 at eastend but brought Callum Woods on late on who was suspended. So tie was to be replayed.

Funnily enough we went to that Alloa Forfar game too! Supporting Forfar naturally 😊

We can’t also forget it was the scene of the worst refereeing performance ever from Louis Thow, so much so he got an @rse kicking from irate Pars fans at full time on the pitch.
Ziggy Bowie scored, it hit the net and bounced out.
Thow said no goal!

Someone threw a lukewarm bovril at him away at Threave Rovers a year later in the cup.

The league win game all the Pars fans were filing out thinking QoS won after being 3 - 1 up at HT (Before mobile phones) then I`m sure the Stenny announcer on the tannoy said it was 3 - 3 que the wild pitch invasion and celebrations.

The Alloa / Forfar game I`m sure there were more Pars fans than home or away, the Forfar players were delighted with the chants of ATHLETIC for the whole game

You’re right about the announcer. After a turgid game it turned into a party!
