I’m against killing them (and wee beasties, too) but is there any way of preventing them climbing up inside the pipes, to scare the beejesus oot my 🐈, humanely? I’d happily drop them off doon the glen. ”Buffy’s Buns are the finest in Fife”, J. Spence 2019” Post Edited (Sat 09 Nov 09:06) Reply |

Ignoring the slight myth that cats catch mice (the buggers more likely bring them in than kill them in the house!) their scent seemingly deters mice. If you suspect they`re in your flat I`m afraid the best solution is traps. Keep food in containers they can`t get at and don`t leave crumbs about and they`ll go into another flat. Unfortunately, in a flat you can`t control the habits of your neighbours but hopefully they`ll leave you be if you take away food sources. Reply |

If they are climbing inside the pipes get some chicken wire and bundle it up inside the pipe .. They don`t like being disturbed and will move elsewhere .. also as jake said leave as little temptation for them to stay and they will move elsewhere for food .. They will be all around your area not just your block so someone will get the rat catchers in We are forever shaped by the Children we once were Reply |

She doesn’t go out anymore either as I’m two floors up and too far away from the garden. Turns out there’s been pest control out today with traps. Let’s hope they get them all. ”Buffy’s Buns are the finest in Fife”, J. Spence 2019” Reply |
