1. Author: Bletchley_Par Date: Wed 15th Jan 2025. 18:55 An initial six-week ceasefire, During that period Hamas will release 33 of the hostages that it seized in the 7 October attack. It’s not clear how many of those 33 are still alive. Good news for those who like peace, bad news for those who wish to make monetary and political capital through death, war and suffering. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c3rwqpj70ert Post Edited (Wed 15 Jan 18:55) Reply |

4. Author: red-star-par Date: Wed 15th Jan 2025. 21:14 Hamas would be better keeping hold of the hostages, once they release them those genocidal maniacs will end the ceasefire and carpet bomb Gaza until there is nothing left Reply |

14. Author: GG Riva Date: Sat 18th Jan 2025. 07:49 Israel`s security minister has threatened to resign unless he`s given a guarantee that the bombing of Gaza will recommence once the hostages have been released and are safely back in Israel. Charming. Eta. Fergal Keane's reports from Gaza are graphic, poignant, and dignified. It's heartbreaking to see the utter devastation and suffering of the Palestinian population. They're not all involved with Hamas, and feeling compassion for them doesn't make you antisemitic. Isn't it ironic how Israel is systematically obliterating the Palestinians when you consider the fate of their ancestors at the hands of Nazi Germany Not your average Sunday League player. 15. Author: jake89 Date: Sat 18th Jan 2025. 08:33 Do Israel realise that the command of "cease fire" applies to both sides? Regardless of your views, both sides have caused this. You can argue who has killed more or who has instigated what but the thing to remember is thousands of innocent lives have been lost. Mums, dads, brothers, sisters etc gone. Kids waking up with no family anymore, homes and communities destroyed. It`s absolutely disgraceful that this country just stood by and let it happen rather than call for an immediate ceasefire. And don`t even start me on these idiotic celebrities. This isn`t a game of football, this is real lives at stake. Reply |
16. Author: red-star-par Date: Sat 18th Jan 2025. 08:34 GG Riva, Sat 18 Jan 07:49 Yes. Everyone is just closing their eyes to the suffering and letting Israel carry out their genocide. Maybe everyone should have minded their own business back in the 1940s? Some governments, like the US and UK are even helping them in this slaughter of the innocents. The politicians in those countries are compromised, all bought and paid for and under the influence of the Israeli state. 19. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Sat 18th Jan 2025. 14:22 Just wait till the ceasefire comes around and Western journalists ask to access Gaza, to be denied by the Israelis. They will not want independent journos going in there and verifying that the death tolls in the hundreds of thousands. Sickening what they have gotten away with and no doubt the minute one bullet or bomb is sent from the Gaza side they will flatten it all over again. Reply |
