Very true. We have plundered and destroyed the planet until it`s crying out for help. The world is a finely balanced system, but the humans have tilted that balance irreparably. The only hope for the planet is a massive event that will hopefully wipe out the entire human race, allow the planet the time to recover.

Hopefully, this 1 in 42 chance will have a direct hit in 7 years, wipe us all out, every one. You, me, all our descendants. The planet will be in turmoil for a while, but it will recover longer after the humans are gone. It`ll be good

Very generous comment Dandy. No, you need to actually read the post before you come out all guns blazing. Although red star par quoted the scripture passage and mentioned a particular millenialist view, his remarks would be more aligned with paganism. I would take it the comment on the full obliteration of humankind wasn`t a serious view but exaggerated for effect.

Hardly "all guns blazing" , that was a touch dramatic.

Odds have dropped now to 1 in 32. It`s likely that those odds will shorten further before it disappears behind the sun and no further observations will be possible. When it reappears further data can be gathered and it`s odds of hitting could well become zero.
