I’m currently sitting in a Greg’s. Waiting on Halfords service and MOT my van. I’m not sure how many cups of tea I’ve drank or how many calories i’ve consumed but I’ve been in here since 8am and it’s now just gone 2pm. It’s got to be the most boring place I’ve spent the day.
Where’s the most boring place my fellow .netter’s have spent the day?

Had a similar experience in Stirling. There`s nothing wrong with Stirling but there`s only so much time you can kill having a coffee and wandering round the shops.

In solitude, find the strength to govern thyself.

7 hours and 45 minutes it was in Greg’s in the end. Bladder and belly about to burst. Least I had a book to read.

Sat at a pub/hotel somewhere near Kendal off the M6 for a few hours waiting and praying a local garage could replace a seized caliper that seized on the motorway whilst travelling back up from Liverpool.

The first hour was fine, but by hour 3 it was getting a bit tedious. Thankfully they got it done that day though!

I did 3 and half years in a jail cell in Marrakech, should have been really boring, but you make of it what you can

I spent a weekend in Grimsby in 1991 ....
It was tediously dull .

Alter ego, sadly not and my work booked it in a garage at the opposite side of Edinburgh from where I stay. The day was just a farce. So thankful to be back out working today. I did quite enjoy their pineapple tart though.

Airports, fairly regularly with 4/5 hour lay-overs. Easily the most boring places in the world with a large propotion of rude/selfish people mixed with the highest contained % people who lose common sense as soon as they enter one.

Four and a half hour flight to Tenerife, although you can get some "entertainment " if there is a stag/hen do on board!🤔🤬

A few years ago I was up for a Scotland game . The day after the game my son and I went to get the train to preston. Looking at the board the next two were cancelled. The only one showing was an avant west coast. We asked if we could use our tickets on it. We were told we could but the first part of the journey was rail replacement bus. We got on the bus just the two of us to Lockerbie where on arriving we were told the train was cancelled. Sat in Lockerbie train station for an hour felt like a week. I don`t know what it is like during the week but on a Sunday morning counting the bricks in a wall would be more exciting.
