Author: pars4life1 Date: Fri 19th Dec 2025. 19:11 The commonwealth games is working under a failed model and will always lose money, it has only given itself the option of highest bidder and will likely still loose an absolute fortune. Time for UK sports to realise that it’s local competition with select international representatives isn’t a great idea and that we need to be focused on having our athletes supported on better recognised international stages. Author: wee eck Date: Sat 20th Dec 2025. 11:31 The CGs may not match the overall standard of the Olympics but they give some sportsmen and women an opportunity they might not have otherwise had to represent their country. In the case of UK athletes it`s a rare chance to represent England, N Ireland, Scotland or Wales of course. As regards their popularity, TNT Sports must think they`ll attract a sufficient audience to justify them outbidding the BBC for the live TV rights. Reply |
