Last week, I bought hair straighteners (not for myself, I hasten to add) for less than half the price they`re on offer at Boots, Argos, etc. They were advertised as new, and the seller has a 94.4% satisfaction review. The straighteners haven`t arrived yet and aren`t due until the end of the month, which makes me wonder where they`re coming from. My son in law thinks they may be fakes rather than the genuine article. Thoughts anyone? ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |

| 3. Author: brian Date: Mon 16th Mar 2026. 08:16 I would guess from China. my guess is they are buying from Alixexpress or Temu. I orderd an item before and I think thats what happened. don`t have any issues with it, but maybe buying direct from China is an idea. ____________________ contact: email me File Share: https://share2.co.uk ParsTV: https://ParsTV.co.uk Reply |

I was impressed by the high customer satisfaction stat. Not sure if such claims are validated by eBay. ![]() Not your average Sunday League player. Reply |

In future, if you are willing to wait a week or 2 for delivery on an item, it`s worth checking out AliExpress. Most electricals are manufactured in China anyway, so makes sense to buy direct. There`s a lot of bargains to be had compared to the usual UK prices. Reply |

I have an electric razor that is over 15 years old and it is like triggers broom due to Alibaba. The only place I can now get spares. Reply |

Also check their location. If it states UK but still claiming something daft like a 2-3 week delivery window then you know it`s a whole sale drop shipper from Asia. They flood new accounts with fake stuff, usually before Ebays automated systems detect they are selling hooky stuff and/or someone reports them after buying something , which ever comes first. --------------------------------------------------------------- ![]() [b]"People always talk about Ronaldinho and magic, but I didn't see him today.
