The pondlife youth that killed the bus driver in Elgin has been released less than 18 months into his sentence according to media.

Can`t be named for legal reasons - you couldn`t make this up .........except it`s true.

Hopefully the locals will identify him.


That, in itself.m, is vile from the system. He will now go about his life as normal and easily get a job with zero background checks to it.

Wee eck - a new threads been started on that one.


This is what I mean by a lack of repercussions. I`m not saying someone can`t change and turn their life around but if you can effectively murder someone and be out in 18 months with no mark on your record, what does that say to people? Obviously I`d hope you shouldn`t need a deterrent not to murder someone but some people need kept in line.
