Dunfermline must have been some place to be when The Skids started out and playing locally. Bet those gigs were something else. Remember buying their singles at the time and my auld man, proudly telling me, that they were from Dunfermline. Reply
2. Author: Yogi Bear Date: Sat 9th May 2026. 02:39 Went to a game in about 1976 with my cousins and Stuart. I was about 11. Start of a long career of season tickets, joy and heartbreak. Beat East Stirling 1-0. That was a real result in those days. Reply
3. Author: Big T Par Date: Sat 9th May 2026. 10:26 A question for you mate or to anyone. I was in hospital, early 90`s and the guy in the bed next to me, was a Dunfermline fan. We got chatting and he was telling me that, in the old EEP, at the corner flag was where Stuart always stood. He went onto say that a few musos/musicians stood there and it was nicknamed Rock n Roll corner. Always wondered if that was true or a load of Scheiß 04. Post Edited (Sat 09 May 10:32) Reply

A few of the older ones will remember the wee shop on Woodmill Rd when it was run by the Currie family,Donald is the son,They stayed in Woodmill Crescent at the time and have been family friends as long as I`ve been alive. His dad and my mum were first cousins. I have a brother named Pete whose middle name is Wishart. They are both named after the same person, my maternal grandfather. Reply

Maths class was just over the fence. Reply

Had to stop ma van. Really didn`t know what a troubled soul Stuart was. Absolutely tragic You wouldn’t know it. Loved his football and played fives with us for a couple of years at Bruce Street. Maths class was just over the fence. Where was that? There used to be a "music house" my brother went to (pre knocking the school down) but that will be away now. Reply

The football gets mentioned a few times, as well as some of his mates who he played with. Reply
