Topic: Khushi`s new restaurant

The building on Bruce Street is back on the market so it looks like that`s Khushi`s gone. Real shame given how hard they tried to make it work. Another example of someone making it impossible for businesses to operate in Dunfermline by constantly raising issues.

When is it due to go on fire?

Well never now as it won`t be opening. We can enjoy another empty unit on Bruce Street courtesy of a bitter little man.

Shame as we are very short on Indian restaurants.

Khushi`s was fine. I wouldn`t say it was the best but it had a good ambiance. The key thing for Bruce Street is it would create a bit of buzz. I believe there may be other plans for the units but not as a restaurant.

Scaffold is up on the old church too so hopefully see some progress there. Seems daft to have the hotel part sitting empty when there`s plenty demand for rooms in Dunfermline, especially during the Edinburgh festival.

Found it bland and no matter what you asked they wouldn’t make it even vaguely spicy. The ingredients were undoubtedly fresh and of a high quality though so I get why people liked it. Just not for me.

I always felt the starters/sides/sundries were brilliant at Khushis. However when it came to the main curry dish itself there were better available in town.

Butter chicken isn’t meant to be spicy

Irrelevant now as instead of Khushi`s we`ll no doubt get a Turkish barbers, beauticians or charity shop.

Wasn`t Epoch further along? One of the units used to be a carpet shop.
