Police should be assessing the situation, not taking on persons word over the other. At 00:45 on a Saturday morning (or whatever day it was) I think that there could have been a justifiable assumption that Henry was drunk unfortunately. Easy for his condition to have been confused. The initial engagement and first check of injuries were clearly insufficient but I am sure those officers have attended many call outs when their actions would have been proven to be the right ones. On the other point, when a bunch of right wing knobs assume ownership of a logical phrase like "All lives matter" then we have a choice..... use something else which I think looks like we are playing politics with words and letting them own the space, or use it because it is correct and sensible, and then call them out on their underlying bullshit and racism. But you see this isn`t the only incident and it`s not just one community, incidents are happening all over the place, that is fact. For example, let`s say the 8 year old girl raped over two days by a number of foreign nationals, you`d tell her relatives not to be hurty now, right, they don`t have a right to be angry? Away from this sad case, I`m sure we`ve all witnessed how people are treated differently due to their skin colour, religion or wealth. Whether consciously or unconsciously, people are making dangerous assumptions about people. Reply

I don’t know if it’s been said but I believe Henry was either the police for around 67mins. So far they’ve released a couple of minutes. I don’t think we’ll ever see what happened after that. Genuinely, I’ve said this a few times on the forum and social media. Our police are totally underfunded, understaffed and under pressure. I’m not excusing these officers. I do think it was a matter of time. The police force are actively looking to move on police officers who are on the higher earning bands especially if they’re not that far up the tree (the longer you serve, you move into a higher wage band/bracket. It does mean a Bobby on the beat can make a good living). The problem with that is they’re actively removing the experience out of the force and replacing it with new recruits that fall into a lower earning bracket. They are doing what they can with the finances they have however they also have political pressures that will push them to go green, hire using DEI strategies and virtue signal for whatever month it is. The police force is failing. I hope Henry is the last but I don’t think he will be. COYP Reply

Author: DBA Date: Thu 4th Jun 2026. 20:41 It`s worth noting that the hospital confirmed that the injuries sustained to Henry Nowak were already critical, and nothing that the police did would have saved him. That`s not defending the officers at all, the footage is abhorrent and I hope the officers are dealt with appropriately. Reply

The way they handled the situation and Henry is the police’s issue - not what happened before they arrive. This is one time it’s caught public limelight but how many times has something happened where someone now has charges against them or has been publicly painted as a racist when they are not?
