In contrast to the Scots with their bagpipes, kilts and dancing, England is bringing...songs about WW2. I was listening to Talk Sport and the ignorance towards Scotland as a country was so incredible that it must have been intentional (essentially questioning if you ever actually heard bagpipes music outside national games - clearly never visited any Scottish high street!). Has English culture been diluted so much that they are now lost, and is this what`s feeding these rose-tinted views of "old England"? Reply |

It broke sound records. Do you want our fellow islanders to get out the sticks and start Morris dancing and taking bad penalties? They can`t compete with us. ![]() Reply |

Although some of them (Olivia Buzaglo) have been turned just by our fans behaviour in the states. People like Jason Cundy and Andy Goldstein are deliberate wind up merchants, and its that glaringly obvious that anyone that takes offence at it requires an injection of a sense of humour. Now, the general English media is pretty cringeworthy as a whole. But then they question why Scotland fans want them to fail…..and thats not including the sporting rivalry, they are just insufferable. Scotland fans have done the norm over there - made a name for themselves in a good way and should really win a Fifa prize for it 🤷🏻♂️ it will certainly boost our economy over Englands. Reply |

Author: hurricane_jimmy Date: Sat 20th Jun 2026. 09:19 Did my teacher training in the North of England and that was an interesting experience...a nation of complainers who love to moan but do hee haw to fix anything just about sums it up. On the individual level, nice people, but their collective mindset is honestly horrendous. My experience was that the English really don`t like anyone that is different and also think they are superior to other cultures. Yet, when they come to Scotland they think "we`re all British"...go figure! And then you get the English folk that move to Scotland, having never paid tax in the country, to take advantage of the better social benefits - my parents street in Clackmannan is full of English Tory-voting retirees...then they come here and continue to vote Tory/Reform and wonder why the system is cracking at the seams...actually boggin! And here in Hong Kong, you get the ex-Colonials who have never learned a word of Cantonese in 10/20+ years or even Putonghua for that matters, yet they seem to thing HK is just "East England". It really is just an Imperial hangover... My experience of 10 years in Scandinavia is that Scots are much more similar to Danes in spirit and very Nordic in mentality just about sums it up. The UK is a fundamentally flawed and broken concept and the sooner it dies, the better. Let the English dig their own grave so we can return to the EU! Reply |

It’s literally just banter, same as Scottish singing Maradona songs or whatever 🤷🏻♂️ Politically there does seem to be a rise in English nationalism but considering we’ve got our own nationalist movement should we complain? I also see there’s an increase online of like British ethno-nationalism. Basically the racists 🤷🏻♂️ very small noisy minority. Their arguments and positions fall down at the slightest bit of push back. COYP Reply |

As a veteran myself, I wanted to point out that the English have never had an RAF, but thought better of it. Loving You, Is In My DNA 🇾🇪 Reply |
