Looking to see if there`s any recommendations around Dunfermline for getting my garage door replaced, and re-felting/repairing the roof?

What kind of door is it? Timber it metal? Roller shutter?

Also what kind of roof? Majority probably are built up on timber frame but a corrugated concrete is also pretty common.

Changes who you would talk to

Currently just a metal door that retracts upwards, well it did once, more of a struggle now... Roof is just timber frame, but has been leaking for a while. Possibly just get away with re-felting.

Wasn`t sure if there was anyone around that could do all garage work, or one for the door and one for the roof...

There could well be someone that can. I just noticed you hadn’t had a response so thought I’d ask the question. You might find someone that says I can fit your roof but you’ll need to speak to X about your door.

I’m not in position to help you myself but hopefully with the post getting put to the top of the refresh list and our comments it draws attention and someone can offer help.

There’s still lots of good tradesmen in Dunfermline but they can be hard to get hold off because there’s less than there used to be.

If the door isn`t rusted it might just need adjusted rather than replaced. If the roof is leaking the brackets have maybe moved slightly.
