These posts remind me that in Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy was once an animal zoo with farmyard animals.
Passing by the male donkey who was having some lady thoughts, my daughter was excitedly shouting, Dad! Dad, Look! That Donkey has a hose! 🤦‍♂️

nothing done about off leash dogs.

Just to clarify, there is no bye law or rule that dogs must be on a lead. It just says "under control" which is open to interpretation. There are guidance notices put up by the peacock volunteers around that side of the park asking for dogs to be on a lead in that area

The dogs on leads "rule" seems to be a bit of an urban myth.

All of that said, if some out of control dogs are causing bother there should absolutely be enforcement.

It`s a regular occurrence, unfortunately. There have been reports of idiots actively encouraging their dogs to chase wildlife. There are genuinely some people I would never tire of punching in the face.

To be fair, dogs are a pain, filthy animals, they shouldn`t be allowed in The Glen

theres a historic dunfermline page on social media that was posting pics of the old animal sanctuary that was down from current Peacocks sanctuary. Remember from the old gala days feeding cup cakes to some of the goats/donkeys that the unpopular kid in the class had brough along .
