Big day soon Aug 12th. 18.00-1900.

Only problem is weather forecast is not looking good.

Will be heading south if need be as my son in particular is really looking forward to it..

What an opportunity we missed in 2014.

It`s a shame Hearts aren`t scheduled to get gubbed in Europe tonight instead of tomorrow.

Too cloudy up here. The pin prick on papers just showing a full circle cause the clouds covering the outline. It has gone very dull though!

Comet Hale Bobb was the only decent thing I`ve seen, can`t wait to see it again in 4380.

Failing that Betelgeuse (Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse) is due to go nova any day now.

I was in Bradford during the 1999 eclipse and i could clearly see the eclipse but felt it was a bit of a let down. Last nights was much better, mainly because I experienced the change of animal behaviour. My domestic cats and wild birds seem to ignore their differences and the world went very quiet for a good 20 minutes.
Further east in Fife it was better ,I expect, than Dunfermline due to cloud cover.
The temperature drop was noticeable also. Better at home than in a city as you see the changes in wildlife.
