Paying a fair chunk of money to get the pro over a normal version just for a better camera?

Keep your eye on a the battery health, anything under 80% and it’s quite degraded. If you still want Apple updates go for at least a 14 if the phone is to do you a few years.

I’ve done the same as your grand-daughter BPP. I’ve upgraded to the iPhone 16. The camera is very good I may add.

Plug the charger in. Iphones are usually difficult to switch off and on for some reason but plug the charger in first, make sure it’s got enough battery then press and hold the single button on the right (if it’s still the same layout as my iPhone 13)

The 16 vee still not too big and takes a wee bit to get used to for an auld codger but I like it I liked the size of the se 2022 but this is not much bigger physically .. just the screen which is a bonus

Are you definitely fixed on an iPhone vee?

If not, and you can hold on for a wee while, it might be worth waiting for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

I managed to get a Samsung with 250 quid off last week on Prime Day.

Was tempted to give the Nothing Phone a shot, but it doesn`t have enough guaranteed software updates for my liking, unfortunately.

Not fixed on iPhone.

Argos currently special offer on Samsung A17 which appears good enough for my basic needs.

Trawling around for deals.
