To think independence support is still above 50%.

But it's unbelievable that the party that should be leading it has poisoned Scotlands ambitions.

The SNP never wanted independence, they just played the game and kept us on the leash.
However I`ll never understand people like you, willing to be dragged along with the English.

I don`t wanna go down like disco.

Even Alex Salmond wanted Devo Max included in the Independence Bill and was probably his preference at the time in 2012 but David Cameron refused knowing it’s what Scots would have voted for.

Alex Salmond did accept that a devolutionist settlement was a step towards independence. His thoughts were show the Scottish electorate that the SNP could run a competant government and independence would follow.

Or it showed a complete lack of ambition and is yet more evidence that those troughers in the SNP have no real ambition for independence 😉

The SNP have been spending tax payers money fighting in court for the rights of pregnant men.
What a time to be alive.

If you`re referring to the discussion at the Supreme Court that is only happening because no-one at the UK level has the balls (pun intended) to tackle (pun intended) it. It`s something that needs a decision on otherwise the loop holes will be taken advantage of. It`s got little to do with the SNP other than the Scottish Government will potentially need to review wording in some bills and policies depending on the outcome.

It tends to be forgotten that the Gender Recognition legislation was passed by a majority of MSPs, not just the SNP.

This is unrelated. It`s because of the proposal for gender balance in the public sector. The way things currently are, you could say a leadership team should have a fairly even spread of men and women but it could be massively imbalanced if you have a load of trans men or trans women.

I thought as it stands just now if you had a team of say four men and four women and two of the women were trans women then the team is balanced.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Yes, so the debate is around whether or not the trans women (or men) would be considered women (or men). The reality is it`s highly unlikely there is an abundance of trans people within the C suites of organisations as they make up a very small proportion of the population. However, it could be an issue if a trans person were to apply for a role that was specifically for a man or woman.
