Labour - 8559 (31.6%) Down 2% SNP - 7957 (29.4%) Down 16.8% Reform - 7088 (26.1%) Up 26.1% Con - 1.621 (6%) Down 11.5% Green - 695 (2.6%) Up 2.6% Lib Dems - 533 (2%) Down 0.8% Turnout 44.2% Big win for Labour, they were 10-1 to win with the bookies today, terrible result for the SNP and a strong showing for Reform UK. When Labour are able to pick up that seat despite their supposed uselessness since the GE, and Reform gain so much from SNP/Tory it just shows the way this country is heading. Unionism will now never be broken in my life time. Im awaiting Unionists back in power in Holyrood to be even worse off and things like bridge tolls and prescription fees returning. It`s cyclical to a degree and the same tide that is taking them out today will bring them back in tomorrow. A spell on the opposition benches at Holyrood is probably overdue. Labours uselessness since the general election is a bit of myth. I actually think Starmer`s government have performed quite well. I don`t think Reform have gained many voters from the SNP. Reform will have taken voters from the Tories and Labour though Labour will have taken votes back from the SNP. And although my eyes were open They just might as well be closed Reply |

| 7. Author: jake89 Date: Fri 6th Jun 2025. 12:35 Scotland will have a Lib-Lab coalition or an SNP minority. It might swing more in favour of the SNP unless Sarwar is kept out the way. The biggest issue with the SNP being in power is the unionist parties object to everything. The worst is the objection by Labour to the introduction of a National Care Service, something they SUPPORT in England. Their objections have resulted in a heavily watered down bill that now does very little to improve social care in Scotland. Quite frankly it should be front page news what Labour, Libs and the Tories have done there. They should be ashamed of themselves. Reply |
