Remember - the same civil servants advise whoever is in government. They exist to serve the government of the moment. Do you think a policy officer told Truss what to do? These guys are walking egos. Author: Dave_1885 Date: Tue 4th Nov 2025. 18:35 At least an Income Tax rise wont affect us up here in the pay packet, but if she raises NI for employees then will take a double hit both in the payslip and on the shelves. The biggest conmen out there though are the supermarkets - prices been getting bumped up big time yet again. £16 spent on 6 basic items the other day in Morrisons…..scandalous Reply |

| 32. Author: Buspasspar Date: Tue 4th Nov 2025. 19:33 Its Simples .. If you read and believe the Tory Press then we are doomed Labour have a huge hole to fix left by the previous incumbent The Tory`s would never raise tax as it would hurt them more than me and you If raising tax helps to fix the Tory fek up then so be it We are forever shaped by the Children we once were Reply |
| 33. Author: jake89 Date: Tue 4th Nov 2025. 20:18 Yep, SpAds are down to them. It`s luck of the draw though. The changes WILL affect Scotland as any shortfall needs made up. High earners are currently taxed slightly more in Scotland but that pays for those free bus passes etc (bloody Buspasspar 😉) Reply |
